Obama to Visit Lake Tahoe

The White House announced today that President Obama will attend the  State of the Lake Conference on August 31.  He will give an address that underscores the Federal Government's support for continuing study of the Tahoe environment.   This the 20th annual conference since inaugurated during the Clinton administration.   The EPA and other agencies have committed to the UC Davis campus science center located at Sierra College in Incline Village, Nevada.
Having toured the facility on several occasions, it is clear evidence of this commitment.   I enjoy pulling up the data from the stationary buoys located on the Lake's surface at  5 different locations: very helpful when planning your day.  Check it out.
Get your tickets for Obama's talk soon, supplies controlled and limited to dues paying Democrats.  Gov. Brown, Lt. Gov. Newsom, and a US Senator or two should grace the event.
