Hezbollah Reeling/Careening

Things have not gone well for recognized terrorist organization Hezbollah, which usurped power in Lebanon decades ago. They recently thought Israel would be too busy to deal with the terrorists on their northern border. Wrong. Israel was more than ready to deal with this Iranian proxy group. The agents of the IDF were busy as can be and provided ample targeting data to Israeli military units.

After Hezbollah units rained down missiles on settlements across the border, the response was immediate: aircraft from Israel flew sortie after sortie and bombarded military sites deep inside Lebanon. Hezbollah was stunned, as were the Iranian military advisors who watched in disbelief as infrastructure and arms caches were smashed and obliterated in a very short time. It was not a one off; but it continued. A relentless retaliatory campaign to cripple the terrorist governing body. And it worked.

The Hezbollah scum weakly capitulated and crawled to the bargaining table to stop the attacks. Israel has been waiting for this moment. All of this became a sideshow when rebels inside Syria came storming after Bashar al-Assad and his minions there. Forced to flee in a week, al-Assad was flown to Moskva to beg Putin for asylum. Duly offered, as Russya and the FSS and the rathole in Kremlin scurried about to figure out what's next.

Meanwhile, back in Tahran, the Ayatollah got up one morning and was told things had changed in dramatic fashion. All the assets provided to Hezbollah, al-Assad, and GAza are gone. Lost in the cloud of rebellion and war. Now what, he asked. He probably had a difficult time swallowing his morning coffee. No surprise there as swallowing is not easy at age 85.

So, Lebanon will revert to a posture of meek resolution; a period of adjustment will follow as the Lebanese confront a changing situation. Israelis will keep a sharp eye on things.
