Mexico as we Speak

Our Minister of Latin American Affairs is currently on the ground in Mexico City.  A large conference is underway which requires his presence and input.   How timely!  Mexico has been a participant in recent immigration problem solving as the US tackles the influx of illegals from Central America, as many as 57,000 mostly children from Honduras, Nicaragua, and El Salvador.  Most of these individuals traveled through Mexico enroute to Texas, the primary crossing point.  They have been lured by promises of asylum and with it an excellent chance at permanent residency ahead of those on a waiting list and ahead of those with H1-B visas.
So, we will anticipate his report that will follow his return to Wash,DC next week.   His team of fellow diplomats will also contribute to this report.   While Tahoma is not on the Rio Grande, all California is affected by this most recent illegal activity.
One of our friends has an H1-B visa and his job relocated to Baltimore,MD from San Francisco.  He had no choice but to relocate with the company to follow the rules of the H1-B visa.   Will the rules change?  Not anytime soon.   Border states are scratching their collective heads trying to figure out how to cope with this Federal problem that so directly affects their states.........
