So, we watch and wait, again. Recently, on our northern state border a large wildfire is scorching the border areas of Siskyou County. The town of Yreka has been evacuated. Warnings have been issued, and the governor has declared a state of emergency for the county. Meanwhile, the Yosemite Fire is about 69% under control: good news. Remain vigilant; listen to the news and watch the skies.
Lake Tahoe, California's Alpine playground, is anchored on the west shore by Homewood/Tahoma, straddling two counties:Placer and El Dorado. The mayor of Tahoma posts information related to the area and items of interest to residents and visitors alike. Its goal is to be informative, humorous, and timely. Hope you enjoy the site.
