This is it: the last big weekend of winter. What winter? Did we have winter? Well, if you blinked, you missed our winter. In New England, that's a different story. Those Folks are still digging out from Monday's storm. The third big storm in the last 6 weeks. Yes, we received a load of moisture over the last weekend, but we need more.
Presidents Day Holiday/ Winter Break. Schools Closed. Families free. Skiers delight. Hopefully, there will be some business along our West Shore. Not much snow along the shore, but more than enough above 7000', where the real skiing is anyway. Marketing has been difficult with the weather not helping advertisers at all. We can hope.
Put on the smiley face this weekend. Get out there and enjoy the time off. Stay warm.
Happy Presidents Day.
Lake Tahoe, California's Alpine playground, is anchored on the west shore by Homewood/Tahoma, straddling two counties:Placer and El Dorado. The mayor of Tahoma posts information related to the area and items of interest to residents and visitors alike. Its goal is to be informative, humorous, and timely. Hope you enjoy the site.
