Warm Weather Records Fall

     Needless to say, it's been warm.  So warm, in fact, that 3 consecutive high temp records have fallen at South Lake Tahoe.  On those days, record highs were recorded, shattering the old numbers.  Locals cannot recall such a time period in the middle of winter.   Some say that snowy winters are a thing of the past; we are living with the new "future".   The "Great Race" from Tahoe City to Truckee had to be cancelled for lack of the white stuff.   Competitors were disappointed but realized nothing could be done to change the dry conditions.  maybe next year.
