Minister of Latin American Affairs Impresses Foggy Bottom

Continuing his progress, our Minister appeared before a panel of experts on Brazilian affairs and we are happy to report that our man in Washington was given the green light to represent Tahoma's interests in Brazil for the foreseeable future.  Given the current turmoil in the politics of Brazil, our man on the scene will be in a very important position as he takes the pulse of Latin America's largest country.
If President Dilma Rousseff is forced to resign, her able vice President just might take over the reins of government.   Ex-president Lula De Silva has been the subject of an investigation as the scandal involving Petrobras, the state oil company,  gets wider by the day.
Because of his extensive experience in Latin America and his numerous friends and contacts, we can expect to receive some very timely updates on current conditions in Brasilia, Sao Paolo, Rio De Janeiro, Manaus, Recife, and Porto Allegro.  Environmentalists have kept a close eye on Amazonia, and there is a growing concern that more must be done to preserve  ecosystems along the Amazon River from its headwaters to the Atlantic Ocean.
Keep up with Brazil with our Minister's reports.  He'll be there within a week.

  1. Brazilians took to the streets in Brasilia and 26 other major cities on Sunday to protest Pres. Dilma Rousseff's government and her Workers Party, seeking her ouster. This has serious implications for all of Latin America and will give other leaders in the region pause. Change is coming to Brazil, again.
