Russya Spanked by USA

So, the World Junior Hockey Tournament, held in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, on the west coast of North America, spitting distance to Seattle, Washington.  In what was billed as an easy win for the representatives from the largest country in the world, the USA team came into the contest with a determined attitude, ready to prove themselves against a perennal favorite from the Land Of Putin.   Fans were not disappointed.   The USA scored first on a goal by Oliver Wahkstrom, followed by a goal by teammate Alexander  Chmelevski.  Now the score read USA 2, Kremlinites 0.   Hmmmm.  Did the Russkies fail to show up with their A-Game?  Apparently so.
The USA scored their 2nd goal on a power play after the notorious tripper, Vitali Kravtsov was called for tripping and sent to the penalty box.   Later in the same period,  Petrov Denisenko  cored after racing down the boards to launch a shot over goalie Cayden Primeau who made 35 saves during the contest.   Spectators commented that the Kremlins' own played without heart, looking listless and uninspired.   No doubt they are concerned about the recent drop in the price of oil and events in Crimea and Ukraine which have drained the spirit of more than a few Muskovites.
The USA will face the winner of the game between Finland and Switzerland.
