Cold Snap to hit US MIdwest/Central States

Cities and towns across the Great Plains are bracing for an Arctic blast of cold air that could see temperatures plunge to minus 30 degrees.  This air mass could set records across the Dakotas, Kansas, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, and Oklahoma.  Local folks are being advised to take all necessary steps to ensure safety measures are in place before tomorrow evening.   Weather forecasting has been very accurate in recent years and the citizery has taken steps to follow the advice of the US Weather Bureau.
While satellite images do not freeze temperatures, they can put locations of readings into graphics that identify those areas hardest hit by storms and winds.
Folks in Tahoma know how to watch the weather; we hope our fellowa in the Mid West follow the instructions to avoid a catastrophe.
