Harper Lee Dies at 89.

Harper Lee and her Dad  at home in Alabama, 1960
American author and Pulitzer Prize winner, Harper Lee,  died of natural causes in her sleep.  The author of "To Kill A Mockingbird" lived a very private life after the overwhelming exposure brought to her as a result of the success of her only novel until 2013 when another novel, unpublished until then, sat completed in an old file for almost 60 years.  It was a first draft of what became "To Kill a Mockingbird".
For many years, Harper Lee worked for and with her friend and neighbor, Truman Capote.  She did considerable leg work for his great book, "In Cold Blood".  A small town girl, she shunned publicity and spent a lifetime dealing with her fame and fortune.
