House Continues to Ponder Next Move

Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, said today the House will give the Senate(Mitch McConnell) more time to outline trail procedures and possibly more time to nominate witnesses that might be called.  Former NSC Chair, John Bolton, said he would testify if called by McConnell.  Minority leader Chuck Schumer, said that the Senate will take action as soon as the articles are given to the Senate.  News media has been absorbed by the latest military strike by the US drone in Iraq and the most recent retaliatory missile attacks on bases where American troops are likely to be.
Pres. Trump retreated from statements that he would target Iranian cultural sites.  However, economic sanctions are likely to increase in the short term despite anti-American protests and made for tv demonstrations by militant Iranians.  American journalist Jason Rezian who was held in prison as a spy for over a year,  stated that a military-style conflict is unlikely at this time due to many factors, not the least of which is a projected decline in the country's economy, continuing its slide since 2017 when Pres. Trump cancelled the agreement between Iran and the West.
US military leaders said that B-52 strategic bombers will be moved to the Middle East in case needed against Iranian moves in Iraq.
So, it's an election year- things happen, here and abroad.
