Alabama Election Results

The vote has been tallied down South.  Republicans :0,  Democrats: 1.  A new Senator has been chosen to replace Jeff Sessions and his name is Doug Jones.  His margin of victory was thin, but enough.   About 20,000 write-in votes carried Mr. Jones to victory, thereby putting to rest the idea that Alabamans would vote against their own best interests.
Of course, with the Republicans in Congress slapping each other on the back because they put together a new Tax Law that should end up on Trump's desk next week, the new senator will not have a chance to vote on this gift to corporate fat cats.
By this time next years, voters will know that this tax bill is nothing more than a sham: a gift to reigning power and financial interests of Wall Street.  It won't last because people will learn sooner rather than later that they are getting screwed, again.
