The count down is underway for the start of the 2023 Trans Tahoe relay Swim. Teams of 6 will compete for honors by swimming across 15 kms of Tahoe's famous clear blue waters. Co-sponsored by the Olympic Club, registered teams will enter the lake near Sand Harbor on the Nevada shore and swim northwest to Dollar Point on the California Shoreline. The actual numbers of participants will vary as competitors continue to register.
The Trans Tahoe web site offers insights into the competition and its history. Check it out. Today the water temps are at 57.6degrees. On race day in about 3 weeks, the temps could go above 60 degrees. Nice.
