What? Freezing overnight temperatures? Amazing. What about global warming? Climate change? Snow melt? Hmmmm. Last night, temps hit 32 degrees before dawn, slipping slowly but steadily as the hours clicked on by. Yesterday was breezy, and forecasts predicted temps in the low 30's: exactly.
At about 8:00am, a party boat arrived on the edge of Meeks Bay to try the spot for a Mackinaw trout or maybe an errant rainbow. While it appeared through binoculars that a good crew was on board, the boat didn't linger and disappeared within the hour. No water skiers or wake boarders were so bold as to try the rippled surface, and at noon today-no boats visible on the south half of Tahoe. But above: beautiful blue, cloudless skies. 3 beach-goers at Meeks resort Beach.
