Texas: A Very Sad Place

So, Gov. Greg Abbott has another mass killing incident to deal with again. Texans seem to be dealing with itchy trigger fingers. Seems the citizenry would rather shoot first and ask questions later. Where are the mythical Texas Rangers when all these events take place? On TV, no doubt. The Republican governor might make a statement such as "our thoughts and prayers go out to the families of all the victims of this tragedy". One won't hear "we have a plan to limit the sales of all guns in Texas, including pistols and long guns known as rifles, and we'll limit assault weapons such as military style machine guns and grenade launchers and rocket launchers and anti-tank missiles and bazookas and ,and, and, and on and on and on.

Back to sleep, Governor Abbott. And Ted Cruz and John Cornyn, too.
