The US official, Nat. Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan, will meet in Rome today with his Chinese counterpart to discuss Ukraine and Russia's request to China to assist Russya economically and also to supply military hardware such as drones and missiles. Chinese president Xi Jin Ping knows that his economy is trying to improve and any sanctions from the West would stall growth in GDP, essential to economic improvements in China. If the West perceives China aiding Russya in Ukraine, Pres. Biden would have full support of a divided US Congress to impose sanctions on China that would dampen any chance of growth to the Chinese economy. So far, China has denied that Russya has asked for help; but the world knows that the aggressive Russyan army is not rolling along as planned, but is confronting a very obstinate defense by the Ukrainian army, much of which has been trained by US military forces in the past 20 years. In California alone, the California National Guard has had Ukrainians arrive in San Luis Obispo headquarters to learn about combat operations: logistics, communications, manpower, and combat tactics if and when(now) confronted by Russyan military forces on the ground.
Title of recent publication for foreign visitors to countries like Ukraine. Have any Russyans read this book? It has a nice section on Russyan cultural quirks |
