Auto Ship Sinks in North Pacific

Remember the news that a ship was afire near Alaska? The ship has sunk along with its cargo of electric automobiles. Insurer Allianz had warned shippers that batteries of EV's are prone to start fires. Crew members acknowledged that the fire was unstoppable most likely as batteries in the autos spread the fire in the holds.

Fortunately, all crew members were taken off the burning vessel as it drifted in the Pacific Ocean. Now this hulk lies at the bottom of the sea, to rust and pollute the environment for the next few centuries.

Hmmmm. How does such an event take place in these modern times of electronic monitoring, alarm systems, fire prevention technology? Hmmm. Some 'Splaining needed.

Ukraine Update

Mad Vlad and the Kremlin continue to target civilains in eastern Ukraine. A barrage of drone attacks, artillery missions, and missile assaults killed 26 civilians in the Dnipro region in the east. These random attacks are meant to instill fear and terror. These are in violation of the Rules of War and International Law. They facilitate combat actions and also help to sow the seeds of panic among the population.

These actions continue to identify the Rus as a people that completely lacks humanity. The dictator Putin, who has ruled the largest country in the world for more than 20 years is more than a dangerous man. He is without a doubt one of the world's worst dictators of history. He will go down in history as such.

The NATO nations are noting this behavior and are responding by preparing to solidify NATO defenses. Recent NATO meetings have led to agreements among member nations to increase spending on military budgets. The agreements would increase spending by more than 5% of GDP.

How do the Rus peoples tolerate this government? Cowed by terror programs to quell dissent wherever it appears.

Lake Tahoe Tragedy: Boating Disaster

Saturday, June 21, the first day of summer, 2025, was the last day for a group of vacationers who had come to Tahoe for the Sierra experience. Instead, tragedy struck during a daytime weather event that raced across the lake in the form of a thunder storm with high winds and light snow and rain. A 27' cabin cruiser was cruising near DL Bliss state park just north of Emerald Bay. The area of the shore is known for large granite boulders and tiny inlets often used by boat campers.

Just afternoon on Saturday, conditions changed in minutes as the storm front descended over the lake. High winds from the north caused waves to mount and increase infrequency. Visibility decreased at the same time and boating in any craft became hazardous. What happened next has not been determined other than the tragic outcome: the cabin cruiser capsized and the occupants were scattered into the cold, cold water(40+ degrees). Were life jackets worn? Was there any time before the boat rolled over? Were there non swimmers among the group?

Many many questions will be answered. sadly, this ttragedy could have been avoided had proper precautions been taken. Hindsight will offer details. The US Coast Guard station in Tahoe City may have been called to assist; more details will be learned today.

This is a warning for the summer on the Lake.

Measles:Read All About It

Good summer morning Tahoma. It's Sunday. Yesterday's sirens on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe are explained today. One of the worst multiple accidents occurred yesterday in a boating accident near DL Bliss lakeshore park. A pleasure craft with at least 8 and maybe 10 onboard, capsized in strong winds and reduced visibility. Emergency responders from multiple districts approached the scene with limited resources. Eventually, 6 bodies were recovered,2 victims taken to hospital, and  2 still missing. The investigation continues.

Today's NYT describes a tragedy of monstrous proportions playing out across America-the outbreak of the measles virus. The reporter dug deep into the tragedy in Texas, near the city of Lubbock in the north panhandle. The story involves details of a family's confrontation with disease, a disease not unknown to science and medical practitioners. At the heart of the issue is vaccination and vaccines which have entered sections of the population that are skeptical of science and government sponsored programs. Coupled with restrictions on allowing unvaccinated students from entering schools, a minority of ignorant people has become enlarged as social media has entered daily lives of most households.  These facts were coupled with the outbreak of the corona virus, the novel corona virus in 2019-2020. Additionally, politicians who joined skeptics found a vulnerable population searching for support for their uninformed positions and isolated ideas about science and medicine.

Among those politicians is Robert. F. Kennedy, a lawyer, who sought recognition as a well-connected member of a famous family. He achieved his notoriety by joining skeptics and espousing crackpot ideas and crackpot science(Non-science). All the issues surrounding Covid fueled the anti -vaxers position against all vaccines. Local governments became overwhelmed in some areas as exemptions were requested and allowed. And the results: outbreaks of a once declared-gone virus. This outbreak has confounded  experts, despite promoting acceptance of vaccines in light of known facts. The experts have become aware of the new problem with information distribution: social media complicates dissemination  of facts in the face of skeptics who abound on the internet.

Public health institutions are now faced with Kennedy the Skeptic in charge of the nation's health department. At his appointment by POTUS, it has become obvious that the nation's healthcare is in the hands of  incompetent anti-science boobs whose grasp of their responsibility for healthcare is below a level expected from any government leader or any politician charged with oversight. Woe the followers of these two boobs. They do not care for your real lives and your real health.

Stay tuned.

Tahoma Minister Arrives in US

Timing: it's all about timing. So, our representative Minister of Middle East Affairs was able to catch one of the last flights out of the region bound for Germany. From Germany, reports are suggesting the next stop was Miami, FL. Then the next stop was further west, location unknown at this hour. We do know that President Orange Hair risk and gave the Sec, Def the order to commence hostile operations against targets in Iran; namely, 3 nuclear devabout tariffs thrown on top? Whatabout interest rates? What elopment/storage sites that have been in the crosshairs of Israel for years. With the help of IDF agents, these targets were analyzed and developed to be primary when ever the order was issued from the White House.

How will this  foray into the troubled region affect politics of the region and the politics of America? Hmmmm. Predictable: another shitshow putting American lives at risk, the lives of military men and women. Many members already are on the ground at various bases scattered in the zone. What do the Israelis think? What do the Ukrainians think? What do European leaders think? What does the Federal Reserve think? What   do enlisted soldiers think as they near completion of their boot camp training?

Now let's poll a few former presidents: Pres Obama, what do you think? George W. Bush, what do you think down there in Texas? Bill Clinton, what do you think? Jimmy Carter, what do you think(I know, but you still might have written an opinion before you left the scene).  How about Angela Merkel of Germany-what do you think? Justin Trudeau of Canada, what do you think?

The Ayatollah named likely replacements in case he reaches an untimely demise. His formewr deputy and likely successor was displaced a few months ago. Hmmmm. Who wants to be named now? NObody. Because your name goes on the "List. List of targets for erasure.

Ahhh.Politics. What will Late Night say? Nothing of substance, sure.

Welcome home, Intrepid Minister. Viva Tahoma

Minister of Defense on Move

Tahoma Minister of Defense is on the move. After a successful tour in the Middle East, our appointed minister has completed his tour. He should be back in town within the next 30 days despite stops along the way here.

He'll be preparing his after action report for the Mayor over the next few weeks which will be made available for interested parties among the citizenry.

Watch for it.

Indiana Pacers Force Game 7 in NBA Finals

The Pacers won't go away. OKC had itsb hands full of Pacers and the Pacers would not be denied another victory in their quest for a Championship win. Game 7 could be a classic with both teams eager to achieve notoriety. Many players know that a win enhances the reputation of all members, new and old. A championship means a salary improvement for many if not most players. It's something worth fighting for.

Referees will also be alert for all the aggressive moves by players and coaches. defense could be the key factor as teams know tactic used in the first 6 games. Turnovers will also be watched as this type of play helps defense win the game. 3 Point shots could upset all plans and success or failure at the foul line might just be the decided.

   Watch it.

Long Day: Today

Summer arrives today: northern hemisphere. The sunlight hours around the globe can reach almost 24 hours in the Arctic above the Arctic circle. Hard to imagine as one follows the arc of the sun. It rises and achieves the zenith then dips, dips some more, then more, then rises again. Tough to get a good night's sleep. Perhaps your room is already outfitted with 'blackout' drapes. Maybe not.

So, summer festivals will be in full swing as the long days  combined with vacation trips put people on the move to: the beach; the mountains; the rivers and lakes; and those snow bound locations of winter that now offer balmy temps and those long days.

Take advantage; get outside, have a look. Smile a lot, talk, sing, dance. Forget those troubles of yesterday.

Elon: Get Back to Starbase ASAP

Hmmmm. How much rocket fuel burned up in the explosion on the launchpad? Well, engineers and scientists are sifting through the debris pile after the test failed in the newly incorporated city of Starbase, TX.  Details are scant as the videos display the evidence of the explosion followed by fire at the Texas site. This not the first failure of SpaceX operations as it attempts to spearhead a rocket to Mars sometime in the near future.

Elon's political endeavors have sidetracked his focus. His focus was altered as Trumpie emerged as the winner in 2024, ending a brief Democratic party control of the White House. Now, Trumpie and Elon are on the outs as Elon begins to grasp the "real" DJT. He's not happy, but, who is? Even MAGA stalwarts are unhappy. How about Steve Bannon or his sidekick, Peter Navarro? They are reeling from their close association with Trumpie as he rambles around the Oval Office looking for targets to insult and abuse instead of getting down to business.

Business? Trumpie wouldn't know business if it hit him in the cabesa. Golf course? That's my real business, not politics: that's for chumps.

   Ahhhhh, Washington.

Pope Leo XIV: Deep American Roots

Family researchers have uncovered the roots of the newest Pope and first American pope. Cardinal Prevost has a multicultural family tree going back many generations. Some of ancestors lived in the American South, New Orleans to be exact. His family includes Black slaves and Black slave owners. This makes the newest pope a multicultural icon representing numerous American subcultures. Those in Chicago were probably unaware of his family history and can now embrace a truly "American"pope-a pope for all.

NBA Finals

So, upstart Indiana has been beaten again by the Thunder. OKC dominated the 5th Game to take the lead 3-2. Can Pacers win again? MAybe, maybe not. Time and sweat will tell. Watch some good entertainment.

Rain in Kviv

So, the Rus continue their onslaught in Ukraine. As Israel hammers Iran, the Kremlin seeks headlines to keep the focus of world eyes on the plight of the poor Rus sent south to try to take over Ukraine. Already 1 million Rus casualties. 1 million dead an wounded. For Putin's folly. The Mad Man of the Kremlin; FSB operative unleashed on the continent. My my. those poor conscripts; sent away from one life to another where they most likely will never return from to home. Very sad. Very Rus. Very Putin.

The missiles flying south descend on the capitol city of Kviv causing wide damage and numerous deaths and injuries.  Trumpie's peace first campaign has been subject to ridicule by all those who know Rus and the Kremlin's bootlickers. The bootlickers run like scared rabbits around the dictator's royal throne. They hope for an end to the waste of liuvesdown south. They hope the madness ends. They sleep with eyes open. Hoping against hope.

The Ukrainian army faces new challenges, but they've responded to them with dignity intact. Even in the face of kidnappings of their children by Rus pirates, the Ukrainian resolve is unshaken. They will not buckle under pressure from invading pirates. America continues its support.

Recently, Ukrainian military have adapted to Rus innovations among its drone forces. Newest drones are flying by wire. In this case, the drones trail a thread as it unspools toward the target. These drones cannot be jammed electronically; they are remotely directed to target. Captured Rus drones exposed the innovation and immediately developed by the field experts. Again, the battlefield has evolved.

Carry on Ukraine.

What's Up, North?

Canada, a topic of discussion after Trumpie made a few pointed remarks about its government leaders. Seems a few western Canadians took notice: residents of Alberta have voiced a possible movement to independence by becoming a separate country. The oil and gas soaked province is at odds over Canada's policies regarding the extraction providers. A turn toward renewable energy has the energy companies reconsidering Ottawa's public comments directing resources to solar and wind projects.

Trumpie says maybe Canada should be absorbed as a state. Maybe Alberta will lead the entire country to become a state. No. 51?  Hmmm. How would that go with the Quebecois? Stir things up in the eastern regions, for sure. All the politics surrounding the pipelines, construction woes, and heaped on all this are the recent wild fires that have sent smoke over the southern border with America. Do we need more air pollution around the Great Lakes? No. No. No.

MAybe the new Prime Minister, Mr. Carney, will take up the issue. Maybe Trumpie will reduce tariffs again. MAybe not.

Report from the Front.

Our Minister of War in the Middle East has sent a revealing missive on current status there(Kuwait, exactly).  Missiles are seen flying in every direction; sirens squeal at all hours; rumors fly with equal rapidity, temps rise quickly as the sun rises in the east.

Another sad chapter of Middle East history adds weight to the narrative story of conflict after conflict that followed the breakupp of empires and colonies that suppressed the local cultures for centuries. Religious leaders joined the fray and superimposed their beliefs as if to make modifications that would  afford some cpontrol over the population that couldn't be accomplished by politicians and dictators.  And now, Israel is leading the charge to ensure its own survival in the face of Iranian nuclear development plans.

Our minister says things are tense, putting it mildly. After 48 hours of sharp exchanges of armed missiles, the world awaits the next round. The troops on the ground are keeping their collective heads down, body armor cinched up, and personal arms loaded. Temperatures are expected to reach 115 degrees today.

Keep water handy.

Happy Birthday to You

So, Old President Trumpie is 79 today, 6/14/25. One of the US oldest chief Executives in history. There will be a parade in DC to help celebrate this milestone in the life of one of the most controversial wack jobs in history, any history.

Historians will have a full plate of material to dissect the career of this maniac TV personality. Unlike other TV personalities, this money-grubbing Outer Borough thug manipulated media and TV by saying anything that resonates with a mob. He could stir things up during this age of media revolution(s).

The US Army will co-celebrate its 250th Anniversary today also and the parade will feature lots of military equipment, just like other dictators when it comes time to intimidate opponents of any strip. Armored vehicles will crawl along the street, planes and helocopters will rattle above, troops will march, bands will play, and all will be reviewed by the Trump MAGA supporters from a viewing stand well placed to observe all.

Welcome to America, 2025.

The Rus Advance in Eastern Ukraine

So, the Kremlin  orders an attack in eastern Ukraine. Timing; it's all about timing. Israel has given the Kremlin idiots cover: the world's focus is elsewhere today: Iran and their nuclear production facilities. We'll see how this works out.

Send in the Marines

This is often used by many as a problem solution. I don't think so in the case of small urban disturbances such as those in LA and a few other cities. National Guard troops are sufficient; local police are sufficient. Combine the two and you have more than necessary. So, in this case, Stumpie is acting like he's on TV and needs some more eyeballs. Hence, "Send in the Marines".

How'd that work out in Lebanon all those years ago? Or, better yet, how'd it work out in the infamous quagmire in Vietnam? The Marines were given a job they had little experience with: policing. Yes, they've been deployed as policemen more than once. Vietnam required policemen, lots of them. The Vietnamese civilians were overmatched by Viet Cong aided by NVA soldiers. North Vietnam looked over the Johnson administration actions and decided correctly: Johnson is an boob, and doesn't know much about geography, as the song goes. Johnson and his Dem lackies poisoned the well by gradually sending military assets to SE Asia. Results: 58,000 dead Americans and hundreds of thousands of wounded soldiers and Marines. More than a million American families were affected by these numbers and it continues to this day. Sending in Marines is nothing more than a publicity stunt and Gruesom Newsom, Governor of California recognizes this order for what it is: headline grabber. The mass media couldn't resist. Reporters outnumbered protesters.

All the training given to Marine recruits is designed to prepare them for : killing or be killed. Pretty simple.

So, don't send in the Marines, not now, not unless the United States is in danger of an armed adversary knocking at the door, such as Mexico.

Tehran Locals Losing Sleep

After announcing some time ago that Israelis would not let Iran achieve nuclear capability, Israeli bombers carried out numerous strikes against specific sites in and around Tehran and other points in the country.

American intelligence indicated that a strike(s) were possible at anytime. The Israeli military has been active, assessing information as to the locations of all leaders of Iran's military apparatus. Many of the Iranian army leadership were targeted and possibly eliminated today. This will cause a disruption among many capitols in the Middle East but comes as no surprise as few countries support Iran and their Islamic regime whose leader, the Ayatollah, has made it his goal to keep the Middle East the focus of thew world's political leaders.

More actions could be taken as Iran and the United States continue talks about Iran's nuclear program which recently was named as being in violation of past agreements. This activity by Israel will certainly put an end to Iran's postponement of serious discussions on the subject. The Ayatollah will bluster, make a few statements, and attempt to bide for time to assess the situation. Now Israel will make further moves to shore up the country's defense in light of possibility of retaliations.

What will Trumpie say tomorrow? Not much.

California US Senator Roughed UP

One of California's two Democratic US Senator's got a hard lesson in politics. He attended an event where Kristi Noem gave a speech on current issues regarding her department. Ms. Noem is Secretary of Homeland Security, appointed by Pres. Trump upon his assumption of the White House. She is the former governor of South Dakota for 6 years. She is a member of the republican Party, married with 3 children and has been married for over 30 years.

Ms. Noem served as an intern in Congress while a student of political science. Her experience has not been in national security, law enforcement, or international politics. She has supported Pres. trump for years and was chosen as a cabinet level secretary after being vetted by Trump's transition team. Today's altercation involving a sitting US Senator appears to be a problem for many government officials. A video of the take down suggests that perhaps he was unidentified  as a sitting senator. His behavior could also have triggered a reaction from a security detail protecting the Secretary. While Mr. Padilla was released, repercussions began immediately.

So, who ordered the take down? Who was the OIC of the unit? What was Mr. Padilla saying that so upset the Secretary's staff security that they would order the take down of an old man who was in attendance during a government information discussion with the public?  Some splainin' necessary. The Senate minority leader might have a few words with the Senate majority leader, who ever that is.

More shenanigans from the White House Circus.

Pacers Win Again against OKC

So, Indiana takes Game 3 of the NBA Finals. OKC Thunder the favorite, is now behind and showing signs of stress.   OKC lost 116- 107. Hmmm. What's going on with OKC/ We'll find out more in Game 4.

Curfew in LA Again

Flag waving protestors were scarce in downtown LA last night as police arrested many who did not follow the curfew restrictions after dark. Folks around the country want law and order, especially in the cities where most people happen to live. Liberal politicians were intimidated by media reports and hesitated to restore order when riots followed  unpopular ___________________- fill in the blank. So in California, I.C.E. workplace arrests caused community displeasure and many locals took to the streets to protest. As per usual, agitators stirred up the crowds and the usual events followed: fire bombing a few autos/tires for visual effects; standing in front of buildings being protected by National Guard soldiers more visual effects.

And Gov. Newscum went public with sharp criticisms aimed at Trumpie, just as Trumpie had hoped he would. Poor old Newsom, he can't help diving in and taking the chum. trumpie hardly lifted a finger, just a few strokes of the pen, some phone calls , and his lackies got with the program: arrest and deport more, more , more.

The Mexican flag has been prominent among protesters; and whynot, Mexicans and other Latinos make up a majority in California, and   so it's to be expected. Also, LA is home to an estimated 1 million illegals of approximately 4 million in the state. No problem, trumpie.

FedEx Problems

FedEx was a disrupter.  Air freight was changed forever. Overnight became possible; other players joined in.  The USPS cashed in, too. So, when you book an overnight delivery in the continental US, you expect delivery to be completed. Sadly, that is not often the case.

These days the service is a problem. One pays for overnight, then one holds one's breath. Maybe it will arrive, maybe not. For far too many incidents, the package is lost, sometimes forever and at great cost. Insured-good luck.

What's happened? Customer service has been lowered to the point of trouble: no guarantees. Oh, you paid a huge sum for overnight? Too bad for you. Oh, placed on a truck for delivery tomorrow afternoon? Too bad. The company is starting to react like Sears, or Rite Aid, or United Airlines. All have lowered their standards of customer service. They are /were making too much money. Why change? Still prfitable and the brand is king of the mountain.

Now DHL and USPS have begun to take over from FedEX. Will FEDEX leadership fix things? TBD.

Think twice before shipping FedEX.

The 'New' Afrika Korps

So, Russya dissolves one mercenary unit and forms a replacement. The notorious Wagner Group was shut down after its leaders revolted against the Rus army generals who asked them top come to Ukraine to help out. After the Kremlin assassinated the entire command of the Wagner Group in a targeted bombing of their aircraft, the Kremlin reconstituted the group and renamed it AFRIKA KORPS. Same people, new name. But this group will not have Putin's Chef as leader. A new lackie of Putin will run the show as thye Kremlin seeks sway in the sub-Saharan areas of Africa.

Of course, the goal is to reap profits in Africa by extraction of minerals. Namely, diamonds and gold. Some years ago, Botswana partnered with De Beers, the diamond king, to forma mining company to mine alluvial deposits in the country. Other areas were also located that could be exploited. The Central African republic is one of those. That country has deposits of both. The government partnered with the Rus/Afrika Korps to provide security not only for the government , but also miners working in the mines. The new problem: the price of natural diamonds has plummeted, surpassed by the production of lab grown diamonds. All diamond dealers/cutters/ miners have been affected. De Beers have cut back mining in South Africa. Inventories in Europe and America are stagnating in safes, waiting for customers who no longer are interested. Marketing of "natural" diamonds has not made much of an impression. Meanwhile, the lab grown diamond trade has grown larger by the day. Improved production methods have lowered already low prices.

In modern parlance-a disruption has occurred dramatically altering a traditional business, never to return. Yes, prices may stabilize in some way, but the strangle hold of the former monopolists is over. Hail the disruption.

Diamond Troubles in Africa

Reports out of Africa indicate problems for a cherished product: diamonds. Since the discovery over 120 years ago in South Africa, diamonds have been marketed and sold worldwide. The natural product has had imitations come and go without much effect on prices of the natural material.

Years ago, Botswana got in the game and bought 15% of De Beers, the mono[oly that vreated the diamond retail industry. In Botswana, mining occurs in alluvial deposits sitting on the western edge of the African continent. De Beers partners with the country and supplies almost 30% of GDP of the government. But now, things are different. machines have been developed that provide laboratory created diamonds, exactly as their natural brethren from deep underground. The products have entered mainstream retail outlets and have delivered a severe body blow to the entire diamond chain:from mine toTiffany's.

What will happen to this culture of beauty and rarity?  Can we compare it to other disruprtions? Of course. When this happens, things change, often rapidly. Why would somebody spend big money for something that is equivalent to a lab grown substitute? Hmmmm. The times are a changin'. The machines are even better today than just a few years ago; The machines are making crystals bigger, better, and faster than the machines did 3-5 years ago. Prices are plummeting faster than discounted airline tickets. Will jewelry . Of course. All those Mall jewelers will be gone replaced by a kiosk with a touch screen menu and a buyer will tap his preference and catch the order down the chute.  Good bye, Tiffany's, Hello, DoorDash/Uber/AirBnB. Ahh, technology, will save you big bucks.

And all those miners working for DeBeers? Unemployed. In Russya, same: unemployed. Canada: same: unemployed. Brazil-same: unemployed.

Have a nice day.

Gov.Gruesom Falls in Line

California's Democratic governor couldn't help himself.  When POTUS ordered Guard troops into LA to assist ICE involved in workplace inspections, Gruesom said this move was antagonistic to the situation and filed a lawsuit against the Federals. Oh, poor Gruesom. what's a politico supposed to do to demonstrate capable leadership under stress. Then Sec. def. Hegseth mentions the possibility of ordering US MArines from nearby Camp Pendleton to assist members of the Cal. National Guard on scene. It must be heart warming for those National Guardsmen who have deployed to Iraq this past year to know that they'll have jobs when they get home later this summer.

The 41st Division has been deployed in Iraq for almost a year, standing by in case. The 41st is made up of brigades from California, Oregon, and Washington states. A composite division.  when they get home, they may not have to stand down, but might don riot gear and be prepared to face off with supporters of Trumpie's No. 1 opponents : illegal migrants in California; the people that Gov. Gruesomn has extended more benefits than almost any other governor in history. No wonder they turn out to protest ICE inspections and arrests. Bad PR for Sacramento and its legislative 'super' majority spendthrifts. This will bring heat on all the House representatives from the once golden state, now somewhat tarnished. Gruesom only hopes that violence does not begin because then even he would have to make a few distasteful decisions. Oh, how much a poll hates making decisions these days--so painful.

I like the advertisements on the soldier's plastic shields: California National Guard in bold. "See, we respond".  Despite the recruiter's oath: "Only 2 days a month",  most Guardsmen serve much more than that promise. This is a deal made in the Pentagon and the California legislature and the Governor's offices. Shame on them; blatantly lying to these soldiers. Two days a month-Ha, liar, liar, pants on fire.

And so it goes in Sacramento and other bastions of Democratic obfuscation and deceit. California leads most other states in this regard excepting New York.

South African Jackal Miffed

The Bromance in the White House has imploded. The two angry kids pooped in their pants and need a clean up.  Mom is too busy, and too tired.

The Jackal is going through withdrawals-this is obvious. All those chemicals he ingested while in the WH are gone. Now he's eating avocados, acai berries, and taking a spoonful of olive oil every hour. All the federal workers are breathing a sigh of relief: relieved that the Jackal is on the run-elsewhere, not in the White House.

Mike Johnson in the House is not happy either as his "Big Beautiful Bill" gets picked apart by crows, vultures, Dems, and NYT. How is a man expected to do his job in this environment. It's just not fair. Poor old Mike is just a guy trying to stay afloat in a small pond filled with hungry sharks and drug addled sycophants. Maybe he needs to start taking some downers, or uppers, or happy pills(domestic.) Not going to happen this week as the Senate gets out the carving knife to tackle the BBB Bill.

Trumpie is about fed up with the Kremlin, too. So, he will order secondary sanctions against all business partners of the Rus who purchase Rosneft products. Trumpie might even through a few at those from Mumbai who evade sanctions on Iranian oil. Read about the Indian billionaire whose company is buying Iranian oil shipping product on ghost ships. Speaking of ships: how's the fire going aboard the auto carrier in the Gulf of Alaska? Not well. The crew has abandoned ship safely, to the Captain's credit. The cargo of EVs from China is left to burn itself out, and probably sink somewhere near Alaska. Hmmmm. Think cleanup/refloat/salvage. Not cheap.

Have a nice day on the anniversary of D-DAY, 1944.

Rus Retaliation:Weak

Mad Vlad vowed retaliation after Kviv destroyed a large segment of the Rus air forces. The Kremlin cabal vowed revenge. Yesterday, came the moment. Sad; sad to think this is the act of revenge-a sputtering behemoth beset with a myriad of economic and cultural problems as the Rus economy-a war economy-continues to tank.

The Old Man at the helm flops around, trying to maintain the stability of the ship of state. Not going well, VOVA. Try a new tack, such as ending the wear that has cost over 1 million casualties-mostly of Rus conscripts, and a fe N. Koreans, etc. Can't imagine a future w/o war? Very sad state of mind.  Will the Orange-Haired Bro bail you out? Not likely.

Maybe Elon will come up with a scheme to end the conflict, maybe not. Have another bottle of vodka; rinse, repeat.

RUS Shocked by Aerial Drone Actions

My, my. Where was the Rus air defense system? Stoned on cheap vodka? Probably. It is well known that most Rus peoples consume prodigious amounts of the state-sponsored white liquid, or white gas as it is also known. So, a big surprise came over the landscape this week as Ukrainian sourced drones descended on Rus airbases and bomber bases scattered over the vast Siberian plain.

In a highly complex operation, Ukrainian armed drones invaded Rus aircraft bases and destroyed some of the most expensive aircraft in the country. It has been reported that over 30% of the Rus bomber command was destroyed by the attacks. None of the drones were shot down or otherwise destroyed before carrying out their assigned missions. The method used to deploy these assets is the stuff of legend. This story will enter the mystique of Ukraine for generations. The bold concept required top secret plans; it required timing; dispersal, imagination; use of intelligence gathered over time and place; and involved many, many Rus themselves who were duped by their own slovenly habits of money grubbing policies fostered by elites in the Kremlin.

Ultimately, responsibility for the success of the attacks falls on the Kremlin and its warren of boobs and drunken boot lickers and ass kissers(no lacking of these types in Moskva.) The generals in charge of defense: where were they? In a posh dacha by the lake? Eating caviar in Crimea? At the stock exchange placing large bets on Nvidia? Or maybe they were down south vic. Kursk or the Donetst region looking for more Ukrainian children to kidnap and take home to their barren wives.

Seems the Ukrainian secret services and intel folks have been working for awhile on the operation. The operation required them to enlist the aid of----Rus truckers! These same Russyan truckers would be the delivery agents for the armed drones that would take out the bomber fleet while they were parked on the aprons of the airbases. The drones were packed in wooden crates that had been altered. These wooden crates had hidden compartments built in that housed the drones. The lids were electrically wired to respond to remote signals from Ukraine. When arriving at the assigned target, the crates opened and the drones were activated and descended directly to their targets completely unopposed. No one detected the operation until it was over, planes destroyed, reputations destroyed, and Ukraine puts another number in the win column. How about that, VOVA? Gone is $8 billions of your air forces. Hmmmm. Maybe time to shake up the old guard. Maybe time to end the invasion of your small neighbor that refuses to surrender. Maybe your bromancer in the White House will start secondary sanctions against your oil purchasers you depend on. Get ready, Vlady, shit is going to fly in your direction.

All Hail Volodymyr Zelensky, a Hero of the World of the 21st Century.

The Musk Rat Exposed as Drug-Addled Crazy

So, now we know the facts: the Musk Rat is a drug dependent wacko who : speaks out against Trumpie after licking his boots; speaks against "The Big Beautiful Bill going through Congress; alerts the country to the hazards of cutting Federal subsidies to energy policies that subsidize EVs, solar panels, and batteries(all Tesla products), and fails to mention his drug-taking stints while rolling around the Oval Office.

Now he claims he is returning to the business world. Oh, joy. I'm sure all his employees are delighted to have this immoral, unethical manchild back in the C-Suite. Maybe all the citizens of Starbase, TX will jump for joy that the "Fixer -in-Chief " is back at the workbench to address some tech issues that have rendered the last 3 launches failures.

Old Trumpie hisself is wandering the halls of the White House trying to gigure out how to get DoorDash deliveries faster. This is part of his MAGA policy: we can look at all economic situations and make improvements. Just watch us. All his advisors are getting used to the president's habits and ideas on everything, from soup to nuts.

Tariffs? Hmmmm. The sounds of discord get stronger everyday. Can anything help the situation? Maybe, maybe not.Stay tuned.

Middle East Muddle

Our Minister of Middle East Affairs reported updates this morning. Temperatures have reached 115 degrees near Kuwait City. He mentioned that it's hotter in Kuwait than in Baghdad, where it was 110 degrees a few days ago. So, now he will observe conditions among the troops stationed here as opposed to those stationed in Iraq.

US forces here are north of 10K, carefully maintaining their presence as required by the overall command. And how do they cope? As they have most recently: keeping in readiness; making morale a priority; keeping communication lines open especially with the Home Front. We talked live this morning and morale is good; Of course, our Minister is in preparation for his return to Tahoma.

We look forward to his return; we will hold debriefings on a regular basis to establish a clear record of his travels across the zone.
