In the college semifinal, the big game between the northerners from Michigan, beat the south's Crimson Tide/Alabama 27-20 in overtime. after tying the game in the 4th quarter, Michigan ran out the clock to take the game into overtime.
Both teams would have the ball on the opponents 25 yardline. Michigan scored on a 17 yard running play. When ALabama got the ball, they tried their best but Michigan's defense held the Tide. As the 4th down played started, the Tide called for a quarterback running play which ended the game in overtime.
