Well, sports fans, the clock is ticking on the Meeks Bay /Meeks Creek Rehabilitation Plan. The comment period ends on August 9th. One can make his/her voice heard during this time; and the tentative plane is available for viewing on the TRPA website.
The reconfiguration of the creek is the center piece of the plan(s). Moving some of the existing structures will also be a big part. Have any ideas? Want your say? Want to oppose this plan in some way? Now's the time. The Mayor encourages all Tahomans to recognize this plan as our future; and the future of Tahoma as a fine living space for residents and visitors. Meeks beach and the adjacent natural spaces are a local treasure, even if you never enjoy the solitude of a hike into Desolation Wilderness from the Meeks Creek meadows. Go now, over the next few days-see it in the summer sun. (watch for bruins).
