Well, Mr. Putin has given opinion writers more fodder for their columns on the little dictator from Moskova. He is rattling around the Kremlin, stirring up his minions, provoking commentary around the globe. He has reinforced the attitude among many world leaders that he and his Russyan associates are incapable of joining in the world community: they are profoundly crippled in humanistic qualities. They cannot advance their personal positions to accept a modern approach to global community. Time and again, for centuries, the Rus have failed in one area or another.
Putin is just the modern face of the same old, same old Rus: deep, dark mental problems covered in ice and snow, the frozen steppes, the diminished sunlight, the drugged state of alcoholism, the lack of contact with real people, and the sense of loss as the population wanders across 6 time zones, searching, searching, searching for a way out, a way forward, any way from this hell on earth. Mr. Putin is not that way: he is the "Old" way, the Stalin Way, the Czarist Way-the FAILED WAY. I don't have much faith in this "WAY".
