India's Modi Meets with Steppe Mad Man in India

       The Mad Man of the Steppe, aka Vova, aka Mad Vladdy, had a meeting today that will discuss ongoing issues with the nrelationship between the largest country in the world and the world's most populous country. The issue trade and oil purchases, among others. Putin hasn't been here in over 4 years. A lot has happened in those 4 years as we all know.

      What's on the trade table besides oil? How about Indian tech workers moving to Moskva to help the Rus work on computers. How about the tariffs on India that Thrump imposed(but lowered a bit). Hmmm. And what if India declines to buy more oil from the Mad Little Pirate? Maybe Xi JP will jump in and save the day for the Steppe Pirate. maybe not. 

     Putie is not in the best position as he is trying to raid the Ukrainian country side for all he can get. But thus clearly indicates hias weak position. Killing all those civilians doesnt sit well with those leaders who have an ounce of moral consciousness. Terrorism is a useful tactic for some despots. Putie's invasion and continued assault on Ukrine's people indicate a total lack of moral or ethical emotion. He is a pirate, through and through. 

POTUS Sends in the B-Team

       So, sticking to his time -warn strategy of using B-Team players instead of the A-Team regulars, Dozy Donald sent two of his back up team members known to about a dozen citizens: Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, his son-in-law and family fixer/Trump Company leader. No surprises here-Dozy Donny likes to know people he can control.

      Why would he want those two to deal with the Kremlin scum? Putin & Co. are known to use perverse Rus strategies to accomplish political goals. Since MAd Vlad took over the Steppes 24+ years ago, his routines are not unknown. The sad response of Europe and the USA to his invasion(s) only encourage more of the same. The 1 million+ casualties of the Rus Army hardly matter to Mad Vlad. His aims are known: he wants more territory despite already existing as the largest country in the world.

    So, Steve Wirkoff and Jared K. are going to negotiate to save Ukrainian lives: civilians and military. Asa bonus, some Rus lives will also be spared. As the two B-team members move around the chess board in Europe, the world awaits a cease fire and an end to the war. Ukrainian citizens alsoo would like to have the raining missiles of the Kremlin stop falling on them.

     Can two real estate salesmen accomplish this? Good luck. Get ready for an embarrassment. These 2 idiots will only serve 1 master: Dozy Donald. This means that there will only be one winner: Putin. Second will be the Trump Company.

   where is former ambassador Michael McFaul? Where is Bill Browder? Where is Anne Applebaum? where are the Carnegie International Center experts? Where is MArco Rubio, Secretary of State(noted anticommunist)?  Where are the national security council members? All asleep. How About Those Russyans

    The Rus are being Russyans again. The peace plans are being kicked around Europe and Russya as Egg Head and Wannabe Stalin put their demands on the table. The Rus wannabe 's want real estate and weaker Ukrainians so they can finish the job sooner ratyher nthan later to take over completely.

     The farcical approach of the 5-year Old occupant of the White House is enough to make one sick: why would Ukraine give in to the demand that Ukraine turn over the eastern region of Donbass? The Little green Men of the Rus army are not even there, still fighting. Some how, Mad Vlad thinks that adding nthis region will make Russya Great Again. NO, not at all. It will only make Russya worse off and more of an international pariah, as they've been since 1917.

     Europeans don't like the way things are going during the "talks". Seems they feel left out of discussions, especially when it comes to the US position that the US should benefit from any peace agreement to halt the war. Steve Witkoff must know that most Americans don't trust Russya, don't trust Putin, and don't trust Trumpie at all.

     If Witkoff reaches a deal with the current Kremlin leader,m it will hardly benefit Ukraine and only set up more fighting in the near future as the Kremlin seeks central European real estate(Baltics, Scandinavia,  eastern Med. Then what? 

Pundits Pile on California

      Pundits often write about the same timely subject based on their own experience, biases, and the time. In northern California, the realm of the village of Tahoma, we here experience similarities to all of NorCal and somewhat of the rest of California.  We have similar weather(excepting winter), we pay the state taxes, we pay the same electric bills(higher in winter, drive on the CalTrans Highway network, and are familiar with Sacramento and its denizens.

      Columns in 3 newspapers pointed out that Californians are apt to  suffer the effects of one party rule-the Democratic Party: its governor Gavin Newsom, and the Democratic super majority in the legislature, and the 2 Democratic senators-Al Padilla and Adam Shiff. Dan Walters, the respected monitor of Sacramento politics published his take on having a governor bent on going to Washington in 2028. Meanwhile, here at home, the budget deficit looms larger than ever, $35 billions projected loss next year on top of $18 billions this year. The pols just can't seem to stop the leaks, stop the spending, and restrain programs that grow like springtime weeds. The non-partisan budgeteers point out continued problems among the attempts to balance spending and income. It seems that Sacramento and Newsom are unable and unwilling to cut back. Despite high income levels so far this fiscal year, income will not be enough. The state's workers are cutting back on spending; hiring is lagging, and job growth is slowing sharply.

      The Wall St. Journal editorialized that the deep budget deficit will  be very hard to fix since in the past few years the legislature has used tricks to appear to balance spending when in fact nothing could be further from the truth. The paper laughs that Newsom as candidate of Democratic Party hopefuls will be blasted mercilessly by the republican Party and rightfully so. Citizens are streaming out of the State seeking more affordable everything: housing, utilities, sales taxes, property insurance, healthcare, and education. All cheaper elsewhere excepting NYC.  For decades, the beauty of the state and its many assets lulled locals into accepting the high costs of living. Not anymore -those days are over.

      How about those water bills? Skyrocketing. How about groceries- inflated. Gasoline: don't go there. Oh, you'd like to build a house? How about the cost of a building permit: frightful , effectively pricing the middle class out of that possibility. Somefolks in Sacramento rest on the statement that California has the 4th largest economy in the world. So what if most of the citizens can no longer afford to stay when Texas beckons with sharply lower prices across the board.

    Even if the Dems retake one or both houses in Congress, they won't make a difference in time to save Newsom and his state.  In Newsom's native county of Marin, writer Dick Spotswood looks at problems with teacher housing plans which will try to address interim housing needs for local school teachers who can't afford to buy anything in a severely limited market. Various organization are attempting to cobble together development plans to provide a decent affordable place to live so these teachers don't have to commute hours everyday. he alsolinks the Marin County Energy utility that sells over priced power instead of lower priced PG&E. A scam, sure. Even with the support of the Marin  County Office of Education, the financing of this affordable housing will probably end being paid for by local taxpayers. Enough. 

How's The War on Drugs Going From White House

    Well, now, those boats getting blasted in the Caribbean Ocean will stop the flow of  ?????? Hmmm. And then Sleepy Donald releases a convicted drug trafficker who happens to be an ex-official of the Honduran government. Is the left hand even talking to the right hand? Nobody is talking excepting Sleepy ol' Donald. Everyday more indications that the poor man is losing his mental faculties at an alarming rate.

   Poor old Jared Kushner & Co. trying to keep up with obvious changes. Where and when will it end? Not soon enough. 

Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner: What a Pair

    So, Trumpie wants to push forward his "Piece" Plan to end the Kremlin's land grab. He doesn't send his Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, (Nat. Security Advisor). He sends an old friend and a son-in-law on a diplomatic mission to negotiate with a modern day pirate, modern day maniac, modern day Wannabe Commie Retro-thinker, Russyan dictator. (Also master deployer of novichuk poison).

      Qualifications: Witkoff: real estate lawyer; Kushner: real estate developer,son-in-law, scion of NYC family known by Trumpie for many years. Deal makers. Hmmmmm. So, what is it they want in the deal? Well, the world has become privy to some conversations Witkoff has had with a Kremlin emissary. He told this Rus stooge that he should shower trumpie with praise, tell him he's wonderful and a great deal maker. Everything else will then fall in place. A rookie mistake, at least.

     Now Putin replies earnestly that more "modifications" are necessary. So, to accompany his requests, he orders a few more random missiles sent into the urban area of Kyiv, killing more innocent civilians. Maniac. Murderer. Wannabe Czar. Wannabe Communist. How's his family doing? The wife/ The kids? They must regret his war-like methods of killing innocents.

      When will his Turkish buddy, Erdogan, call him out and require all Rus tourists to get the hell out of Turkey. Currently, Rus tourists don't need visas to come and shop in Istanbul, or the southern beach towns on the Med. We saw them: large people, laughing among themselves as though they were unaware that we observed  their actions and harbored ill- feelings because we knew they approved of Putin's war against innocents in Ukraine. Many wealthy Rus buy property in Turkiye against a future reckoning with the world over Rus aggression anywhere and everywhere. No doubt it will take some action from Xi JP in Beijing to end the Kremlin madness down south. 

Echo: Cirque de Soleil

    The Mayor's entourage visited San Francisco last weekend to take in the latest show put on by Cirque de Soleil-called: Echo. It was an excellent performance put on by a crew of athletes, artists, and clowns much to the delight of the audience. Set under tents erected near the Giants stadium, the afternoon show was a sell out.

      Multi-generational families roared their approvals as scenes and skits changed every few minutes. Do you like acrobatics? They have trapeze artists like no other circus: men and women both perform amazing feats of strength and balance high above the crowds. The set designs are always amazing and this proved again to be true. During one set, a wire sculpture emerges from the backdrop and is raised on a puppeteer's strings above. The actors now interact with the skeletal piece(bright red), rising on their own wires while stage hands ply the piece with attached wands to make a life-like movement of the limbs. It was engrossing and the audience was enraptured.

       The gymnasts were a key part of the show and they did not disappoint with tumbling acts, high wire swings and catches as pairs moved with precision across the stage. Interspersed were the 2 clowns who kept up a constant presence to entertain everybody. It was a great afternoon and highly recommended.  

Negotiating With Snakes

      Have you ever come face to face with a snake, a viper with poison sacs pre-positioned to assist in the injection of a deadly tocsin? In certain countries, it's a fact of daily life. InEurope and other places, it is rarely an event for the populations. Now we see what happens when dealing with vipers.

     Read all the media hype on the "negotiations" between warring factions in Ukraine: Kremlin v. Washington, DC. Sergey Lavrov v. US Lackey. Don't expect anything unusual to occur, but do expect disappointment. Poor Volodymir: stuck between two vipers and no place to turn for help.

       The modern world has not benefited from increased use of technology; if anything, it has suffered terribly and tragically(see Kyiv). Remotely operated drones have become the new signal of the battlefield: there are no more positions behind the lines: the battlefield stretches from one end to the other. All members of an army are now targets, 24/7. troop movements are a constant: no rest for any participant on either side. 

      So, those snakes have new power and new methods to inflict death and destruction, and everyday, new methods are discovered and employed. What fun. And MAd Vlad just continues to insult the world with his individual madness. Xi just watches and smiles as the Rus do what he wants done to the West/US.And Taiwan increases its military defense budget.  

Zelensky Dilemma: Stuck between Stupid and Crazy

       Volodimyr Zelensky, the Ukrainian patriot and successful leader of the reeling Rus neighbor, is now confronted with a "piece" plan that gives Putin a good portion of is sovereign country, and reduces the size of his army, and forbids alliances for future defense. Hmmmm. Doesn't sound so good to me, and I'm a distant bystander to this 4-year old global tragedy.

      Only yesterday, the Kremlin military sent yet again another bombardment of missiles into Kvyv, killing a number of civilians in its ongoing terrorist assault. More war crimes committed by insane leaders of the Rus peoples. Xi JP sits back and watches the show from Beijing, despite his focus on Taiwan. Remember Quemoy and Matsu? Remember the US Navy's 7th Fleet? Remember Josef Stalin? Nikita Krueschev?

       So sTump's negotiators carry the briefcase back and forth; the Kremlin's toadies jump up and down and spew more demands as the Rus population grows more restless and more anxious as the caskets grow and the cemeteries keep busy every day burying the nameless victims from the battlefields in the Donbass region of Ukraine. Will this real estate become part of Mother Rus? Will the propaganda machine crank up the fake rational for Putin's madness.

     How long will we wait before the invasion of "Little Green' men into Scandinavia and the Baltics? The European leadership is trembling in its boots as they see close at hand what rthe future is likely to mean for Western Europe's democracies: an invasion.

      Will there be an America willing to help, again? NO, not this time, and Putin knows he has 3  years to move before Stupid leaves the White House.  The elections in 2026 will only add to the dangers in Europe as seeds of change will become visible to all.

      While White House spokes woman Karoline Leavitt says there's a deal almost ready for signing, just a few more details to finish before Ukraine capitulates and the Orange Haired Baboon will gloat over another war he stopped in his first year. How pathetic. Thank you, all you non-voters. all 92 millions of you. 

Xi JP Calls the Stump: Let's Talk Taiwan

    Poor old Xi: his country is contracting; his spies are getting caught at an alarming rate abroad, the natives are getting restless at home; jobs are disappearing faster than replacements; AI has eliminated jobs; the new premier in Japan says no to you directly and won't budge on discussing Taiwan or the Chinese economy.

     Time to step aside, Xi, and let the Commie Party go adrift as it did after MAo kicked the bucket. What about all those rural peasants making $20/day? What about their future if there are no new jobs in the "information" economy?  Maybe Putin will offer some expansion room to absorb the farmers from the land? Not happening.

Lindsey Halligan: Fake Attorney/Fake Prosecutor

    So, now we have the US Attorney General, Pam Bondi, ready to challenge a sitting judge who ruled against the appointment of Lindsey Halligan as attorney general in the southern district of New York. The judge ruled her appointment was illegal. Ms. Bondi claims otherwise and she will waste taxpayer dollars to follow her nose into POTUS heart since he wants James Comey and Letitia James to be convicted of harassment and other activities related to their respective jobs.

The well-documented meeting was ludicrous: sTumpie praising Zohran endlessly, acknowledging his great election victory and how much he loves to see a "winner' in his home city. This is after calling him a 'Communist" , jihadist, unAmerican.   Hmmmm. Quite a mouthful even for a dimwit.

     Then we have the Ukrainian "Piece Offer", or the Russyan stability gift to the Kremlin and Mad Vlad. Consult with Zelensky?, I don't think so. Why talk twice with somebody one doesn't respect? Chinese Arrested In Florida: Nvidia Chip Scam

    Agents of US investigators arrested a 38 year old Chinese citizen on a charge of  bypassing US restrictions on the sale of Nvidia's advanced chips to China . Restrictions were placed in 2022 after government officials decided it was time to put these new rules im place.

      The individual, with the help of at least 3 others were setting up the scheme to evade restrictions. Over $4 millions were realized by the the Chinese merchant scammer. He could face decades in prison if convicted. The story includes payments received from Hong Kong to cover the costs.

     Obviously, this operation has been in the works for sometime. No surprise here: the Chinese government and the Peoples Liberation Army wants these chips. 

    What other group is trying to steal US technology? Hmmmm. 

James Comey and Letitia James off Legal Hook

    A judge threw out the case against former FBI Director James Comey and NY state AG Letitia James citing other court rulings against such indictments. Judge Aileen Cannon said in her ruling in the Trump documents case that the special counsel was illegally appointed. In this case, the AG who filed the indictment on behalf of the government was illegally appointed.

     So, sTumpie loses again in his endless campaign to stay relevant which diminishes by the day. One might say that his record indicates he's one of the biggest LOSERS that Americans know today. He's lost over 3/4's of the cases he's had his Toadies file against this that, and everything.

      The drug addled brain of Robt. F. Kennedy continues to impact the health of a n ation. The formerly reliable CDC web site has been changed to reflect the attitude of RFK, the worst HHS Director in the history of the world. Millions of people relied on the CDC for accurate and timely information which could guide health -related decisions at the family level. No more. Those days are officially over.

     As of this week, skepticism about vaccinations is the "new" CDC position. Doubt will be the watchword for all medical information promoted relentlessly by HHS leader Kennedy. As the death toll continues to rise of the unvaccinated, the ship of truth has stalled on the path to a healthful future for the country.

Poland Now a Target

    So, we have bombs placed on Polish railway lines. An explosive device was detonated under a polish train with passengers aboard. The device was command detonated remotely and a part of the explosive did not ignite. Poland has become the "new" testing ground for the Kremlin, that hotbed of derangement.     San Francisco 's celebration of the META verdict is tempered by the verdict convicting DONE Corp's founder Ruthia He guilty on all counts of distributing illegal drugs online. Hmmm. How long will her sentence be? Will politics be involved? Will her lawyers appeal the verdict(unlikely). Who wants to defend a Chinese con artist here in the USA?  Nobody.

MBS In Town

      Crown Orince of the Saudis has paid a house call in Washington ,DC. Too soon for thr Grand opening of the new ballroom, but plenty of time for that. Now, it's about trade, investments, deals, defense purchases, and throw in a little Gaza, Israel, and the Iranian wacko government.

   Yes, that MBS. Recall that in Istanbul in 2018, a grisly murder took place. A reporter for the Washington Post was lured into the Saudi Embassy to meet with officials there. He assumed that since he wasn't in Saudi territory, he was safe from the king and the prince. Too bad for Mr. Kashoggi, the critic of the royal family and Saudi government in general.

     The C.I.A. released a report indiocating that the murder of Mr. Kashoggi was approved by the prince. The prince claims he knew nothing of the plot. The plot consisted of sending a team of assassins to Istanbul where they would await the arrival of Mr. Kashoggi who was notified that some business would be conducted that affected his family status of him and his wife. Ok, Kashoggi thought. I'm in Turkey. A long was from Arabia. How wrong was this: a deadly mistake. The assassins were waiting inside the embassy.

      While inside, he was attacked and killed on the spot. His body was taken to a closed room where it was systematically cut into small pieces, placed in containers, and taken from the embassy to be returned to Arabia. Of course, no statements were ever issued other than he may have left the country of Turkey on his own at a later date.

     Sleepy Donny remarked that some people liked him and some did not. The prince had nothing to do with Kashoggi's disappearance. It's ok for the prince to do business with the US, particularly because POTUS wants to do some deals with the country: sell some airplanes, put up some data centers, sell some chips, maybe some soybeans.

What a country.  

Files Released: Another Icon Brought Down

   Sen. Elizabeth Warren wasted no time in calling for this nationally known financial figure to step down from wherever he's hanging his hat. How sad. A man who rubbed shoulders with presidents; a man who topped the academic peak-President of Harvard University. Professor held in the highest regard; now, brought low, very low. He claims to be "Ashamed".  Lawrence Summers, shamed in the public sphere. At age 70, he can still feel the pain.

      Now all the outlets have exposed him for what he is: a failed human being, like sooooo many others who fell under the spell of the dead tafficker and abuser. No doubt, Ol' Larry thought he was smarter than all the rest; he knew better, he knew everything; he outsmarted the best of the smart. He was president of Harvard, yes, that Harvard, the goal of every academic striver.  Oh, woe is me. Nobody's perfect. Ok, I made a mistake. The news cycle will move on; people will forget. But not all of us, Larry. Remember Joe Ellis? The historian? He just published a book, reviewed widely, given high accolades for scholarship, style, and verve. This is the same Joe Ellis who lectured in his classrooms that he was a Vietnam veteran of some repute. he served with Gen. Wm. Westmoreland at the highest levels. All false, all lies; he bypassed the most significant era of a generation. Lies, all lies, Mr. Ellis.

 Sen. Warren delights in calling a spade a spade. She says, "Larry, remove your despicable self from the public sphere. You are no longer worthy of any respect whatsoever. You are done. Take your cradentials and disappear into perpetual obscurity until you pass from thise world. Finite. Donezo. Kaput(German). Even AL Franken came out better than you ever will. You reek like the dung pile, tainted; forever tainted. Obama will not answer yuir calls,, nor Billy Clinton.

What were you thinking? Or is this a sign of a deeper rot? Please explain. No, wait. We don't want to hear it. It's over between you and the rest of us. Disappear. Forever. Go write the Mea Culpa. Be gone. Please. 

JP Morgan: Banks Being Banks-Again

        So, media types love the Wall Streeters and their ilk. They provide endless stories that wouldn't even raise an eyebrow in Hollywood. No reasonable producer would accept the premise of pursuing a miscreant who then snared the victim for another $175 millions. But, JP Morgan just did it. No, it really did. See it live across all the outlets. Agreed to by---LAWYERS. Love 'em, those legal beagles, scratching and crawling in pursuit of a slice of settlement pie.

      In a nut shell(small) we have the bank's dreamers looking for another pie of potential investment, here  there, and everywhere(so hungry!) those lawyers/bankers. Turning over rocks and dirt piles, sniffing, spying, trying to stay ahead of the wolf pack down the street. What did they find? Charlie Javice, an attractive young women with a start up company that smells positive. Let's talk, fast. Very fast. Maybe a little 'too' fast. Scan the numbers, pump the concept, ten minutes of due diligence; now the offer. Offer accepted. Victory, again for JP Morgan. Drinks all around. Viva investment banking- America-What a country.

     Something is definitely wrong. Numbers don't add up. Oh, darn. Looks like figures are --------fabricated out of thin air(as opposed to thick air). Charlie, what have you done to us? We purchased your company outright with good intentions all around. Did you defraud us here at JP Morgan?  You can't do this, you can't do that. We are JP Morgan, King of Wall Street. Shame. Hello legal department. So, out come the briefs; out come the law school grads with serious intent: we will take her down. File the court docs; have that lying bitch dragged into court. Elizabeth Holmes she is not, but.........

     So Charlie Javice is dragged through the mud. At least she isn't knocked up hoping for a sympathetic jury. The lying bitch was found -GUILTY. Oh, my. but the best was yet to come. The court ruled that JP Morgan had to pay her legal fees, bills would be submitted through the court and JP Morgan has to pay-all of the bills. Even Kash Patel couldn't dream of this one. Bills for massages, perfumed steam baths, catered dinners, all paid for by JP Morgan. It couldn't happen to a nicer group of financial terrorists. Wall Streeters have no shame, no conscience, no grasp of reality. They are a breed apart. Even as the outer borough tramp directs the country down the road to ruin, Wall Streeters dance to their own fiddler, detached from reality's rules.

     JP Morgan has appealed the court's decision, and may find relief. Legal textbook writers/authors are sharpening their algorithms -they want some facts to develop the case for the students to come. They must learn about fraudsters like Charlie. But, at $175 milllions, it's just the cost of doing business these days.   For Charlie, she'll have to cancel traveling/living plans for a few years so she can mature under close supervision in Sing Sing up the river. 

Russya: Send More Missiles

      So, will Trumpie call out Russya as a "Terrorist Organization". It is clear to this author and the rest of the world that Rus and Russyans are terrorists(see Websters). In the last 48 hours, the Kremlin, headquarters of terrorists, has sent over 400 armed drones and over 100 missiles crashing into Kyiv, Ukraine. Make no mistake as to the targets of these barrages: CIVILIANS. The goal: without a doubt-cause terror/fear/helplessness among the Ukrainian citizenry.

      Have they succeeded in this effort? That would be capitol "N" No. Have they killed indiscriminately with their assault? Absolutely. Women, children, the sick, the helpless, aged men and women both. All targets of the Kremlin as it pursues the mad dream of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, the demented leader of this despicable race of terrorists. 

      Putin has been hiding behind the curtain of the Middle East conflict between Israel and the Palestinian terrorist HAMAS. This war, now suspended to a degree, has absorbed headlines here and abroad. The tepid support for Israel by the US has the Europeans skeptical of their support for Tel Aviv. Given the proximity of Ukraine to Western Europe, few capitols can ignore the war in Ukraine, grinding on after 3 years of aggressive invasion by the Rus Army. What has Russya gained here? 1 million casualties and counting. Recent media notes indicate the Kremlin is reaching into middle schools to prepare future soldiers to feed into the Mad Man's War in Ukraine. These youngsters are being groomed to be automotons for Putin-mindless robots willing to kill on orders from above(Kremlin).

       When will the madness end? When Putin dies. 

Trumpie Signs the Bill

    So, the longest shutdown in American history is finally over. The front pages of media can go back to reporting news. Media internet followers can look forward to more coverage of trumpie's relations with sex- offender-the late Jeffrey Epstein. The necessary vote came after Mr. Speaker Mike Johnson seated the newest member of the House who immediately cast the vote to open files that were waiting sunlight by certain interested democrats.

       Of course, this is really a sham opening move as it only guarantees funding through January 2026. Ha, ah, ha: the White House and Congress will get back on the merry-go-round then, dancing to the same tunes as before. It's about executive power; it's about the separation of power; it's about the concentration of power; and it clearly indicates there's a power shift going on before our eyes. Think: White House v. Congress; Supreme Court v. White House; think Congress v. Supreme Court; think fantasy v. reality. It's interesting to sit on the sidelines and observe the childish behavior generally observed in the school yard among children. The old Guard is moving on(see NYC), Nancy Pelosi, the 85 year old San Francisco Dem announced her retirement in 2027.(can you imagine. All her old cronies have died or retired, retired. Her ancient comrade-Dianne Feinstein is dead and buried; she won't be able to support Nancy anymore.

    So, again, the government-federal , will stumble along as Sleepy Donny's appointees continue the charade of leadership, digging deep holes that will have to be refilled and patched over after the 2026 midterm elections when Dems take back the reins of leadership and restore some semblance of order.  

Google Goes to Court

    So, Google finally acknowledges there's a problem. Their legal department(very large) filed a complaint in Federal Court in New York against the perps in China that have been subverting the Google company and crushing its business.

      We know Google is a cash machine, generating $$$$billions of dollar profits. Such an operation looms large over the country and the world, and hencce, is an easy target: it's everywhere all the time. What's going on? As anybody with a pulse in the USA knows, Xi JP and his Yellow Hoards are bound in a catch up race with the US. They recently launched their 3rd modern aircraft carrier-an instrument of global reach. Watch where it turns up when it exits the South China Sea looking for targets of opportunity. The race in the tech sector is most widely reported; then the rare earth issue(China's resource dominance in the field) has surfaced and other country's are exploring old m ines and locations for those minerals necessary for industry and science. Then there's the trade issue: the imbalance of trade with the USA: more going than coming. Take soybeans, an American ag export item(large). The slow down in China's purchase of soybeans causes serious issues down on the farms in the American midwest. They can only store so many tons of those beans.  Trumpie likes to think he's on top of the trade issue, but aftyer his most recent trip to Asia, one must think he's a bit foolish on the topic.

      So, what's going on with Google? The legal brief cited the damaging effects on the Google business by a company in China called Lighthouse. This tech firm has targeted Google's business model with fake internet/web scams that mimic Google's official sites and thereby damaging the brand and the bottom line. However, given  the source-China- there's little chance of arresting and stopping the action in China. However, if the court rules in Google's favor, it will allow the company to shut down those in the USA that are using Lighthouse means to corrupt official Google sites and relations with partners and subsidiaries. It won't take long and any court would be smart to move quickly on the case. Look for a decision soon. 

Calling All Representatives: Come Back, Come Back, Shane

     Head Stooge of the House was allowed to hold a session today for elected reps, ostensibly to vote on the Senate bill passed Sunday night that possibly could reopen our Federal government after 7 1/2 weeks of shutdown.

      Media types and assorted semi-serious pundits would have one believe the shutdown was over SNAP payments. Others would have you think it was ObamaCare subsidies to extend payments for insurance for continued coverage. Some would suggest that it exemplifies the struggles for control among the branches of our government. And then, some say Trump kept the shutdown in effect to exert even MORE control over everybody and everything in the country. A true autocratic move/thought. We'll see shortly which version will play out. Mike Johnson, Speaker of the House will look crisp in his uniform of the day, trying to look competent, trying to please tRUMP, trying to overcome his own shortcomings, desperate to win somebody, anybody's approval. "Oh, MIke, just shut up and get it done. Why torture us anymore than you have already?" Think of all those perverted Republicans who think like you but are also wavering in support of Stumpie-Sleepy Donny.

       A new documentary  is being released to look at the writings of renowned author, George Orwell. Few writers have enjoyed such continued notoriety as Mr. Orwell. Despite his short life and brief career, his thoughts on autocracy and its roots have become significant for their predictions and understanding. Scarily accurate. Watch it.

       Already, the midterm elections of 2026 are becoming the topic of choice among the scribblers and talking heads in standard media outlets. The election of a Socialist in NYC has stirred the juices of most watchers and babblers across the fruited plain. Those types would have you believe that Mamdani's election bodes ill not only for NYC, but for all of us here at home.  Free this, free that, everything free paid for by-TAXES, TAXES,  and more TAXES. Wheeeeee . If NYC is the future, we might have to cut it free. Free at last, free at last. 

      As the lights go out on Wall Street, so will the lights go out in NYC. Maybe NYC will face the truth; maybe not.  

Downtown Tahoma: Winter Approaching

      Well, kids, get ready: shadows getting longer, days getting shorter, holiday season just around the corner. Many locals are on vacation, taking advantage of the "tween" season as we call it. That time between summer and winter.  Restaurants can actually seat drop-ins! Amazing.

      In Tahoma, things are changing. First, look at the Post Office. Hmmm. Did the driver miss the brake and hit the gas? Or did the driver jump out on his was to the PO box he rents and leave the vehicle in gear? Locals call it the post office problem up here: people are in a hurry, many things on their minds, or they are on the cell phone, and forgetful. result: vehicle accelerates into the entry doors of our Post Office. No injuries excepting the ego of driver. Plywood is in p;lace, new doors are ordered, Amazon will deliver (?) soon.

    Right nearby, our famous "Cult Burger" place has closed pending seasonal situation. Despite best intentions, traffic waned after September and the tween season can't support a burger place, even if the quality is there. We'll see what happens as owners negotiate with landlord.

     Liz and her espresso bar is on vacation last I heard, she's on a beach somewhere warm. See you during the holidays.  We are sad to report the passing of Liz' grand mother and angel investor/partner, Katy Foster. Katy is a well known local realtor who has lived on the West Shore for decades after retiring with her late husband, Colman, from a teaching and coaching career in SoCAl. Services are pending.  

   Dog & Bear restaurant is packing them in regularly, serving good food and drink. Locals and visitors appreciate the location so close to most of Tahoma and Homewood. Beats the 20 mile round trip to Tahoe City. Tahoe City has had issues with access as the FAnny Bridge has been closed for most of the year for replacement. It is due to reopen next month. We visited the site yesterday while walking along the shore and a worker said December, '25. Good.

       Cal Fire crews have been active at Sugar Pine State Park and the evidence is easily seen near the entrance and down the paths to the lake shore. Stacks of cuttings are all over waiting for thematch. Some will season for 1 full year before being set ablaze. The goal: reduce the fuel loads around the park and in the Lake Basin itself. Proactive thinning will prevent disastrous fires that occur in the forests in California.

Californians Digest Stratospheric Electricity Bills

 5 years ago and again last year, California was beset by wildland fires, not just in the forests, but also in urban settings where residents thought they were immune from fires. Some fires were shown to have been set by demented individuals, and others were found to have started by aged electrical grid components. Included among the grid components were transmission lines known in the trade as "zombie" lines because despite being abandoned, these same lines could re-energize themselves and start fires along their pathways.

      The results of these fires are telling. People died(town of Paradise-89 deaths). Insurance companies balked at the payouts necessary to make clients whole(See USAA and state insurance commish. in CAL). LOcal planning departments pledged quick approval of rebuilding plans only to continue at their prior pace: abysmally slow!  

    So now homeowners and businesses must pay the 'piper"(not a plumber-a muscician!) Electricity in California has gone up 34% since Covid. Again: cost of electrical power has gone up to the highest level in the USA. recently, we received a monthly statement that totaled $798.00 for 1 month-October. Not a cold month; 85% of the total was for electricity. A small family, kids in school, one working at home(online). Minimal appliance operation; smallest EV made in Detroit. How can this be?

      Nuclear energy: gone, never to be seen in the 'Golden State again. Coal fired power station: forbidden. Natursal gas power stations-being reduced to zero. Hydroelectric power: still there, but no new dams allowed; dams being removed as we speak. Consumption by tech companies: soaring. Consumption by BBig Ag: soaring. The largest consumer of electricity in California: agriculture. To get irrigation water to the surface is the largest consumer of power in the state. residential consumers are subsidizing big ag and they in turn support the democratic incumbents up and down the Sacto/San Joaquin Valley. It's not going to help wanna be Gavin Gruesom who now makes no qualms about his White House goals.

      Should the DNC nominate this loser will spell the end of that party forever. He has made California unaffordable for all excepting tech billionaires and university professors.  The super-majority in the legislature continues to support this governor. Look in the valley at the "train to nowhere" as it consumes billions. Look at the property taxes that fuel inflation with a guaranteed 2% increase annually.

    There's no end in sight. remember 25-30 years ago when PGE, et al., started ranting about conserving energy? Consumers were told: "Turn out the lights". Buy energy saving appliances. Put solar every where. All new homes have to have solar installed. PGE ran out of power to sell long before that time.  All new power has to be purchased from out of state. It has to be transmitted over the wires to the coast. Not cheap. How about Ev's? Sorry, no more subsidies. Solar installations? Sorry, no more tax breaks. How about LED lights? Pay through the nose for these sad fixtures. And on and on. Sacramento does not have your back; it only has your wallet as you struggle to pay your tax bills-on everything. Everything: every gallon of gas; every retail purchase; every meal purchased out. Income tax, Sales taxes among the highest.

Sleepy Donny at The Oval Office

    Where's Melania when you need her? Nowhere. the Washington Post reported in a major article that the Donald, aka POTUS, has had trouble staying awake while conducting business, the Nation's business, in the White House. The 79-year old president keeps a busy schedule; the schedule does not include going to the gym daily or having a personal trainer visit his quarters. It appears he doesn't schedule afternoon naps.

     Fore President Joe Biden often was unavailable after lunch. His daily routine included private time in his quarters. No meetings, no news conferences, no nothing was on his 'to do' list after lunch. He needed a break in the day from his duties as POTUS.

     Apparently, after reviewing video of Trump closing his eyes during a conference, it's time for trumpie to lay up for an hour or two after lunch. Any honest adult over 50 knows the benefits of a 'power' nap in the afternoon. It could be in a recliner chair in a quiet place at home or sat the office. It could be anywhere outside of your routine spaces. The time doesn't have to be very long: 20-30 minutes is all that needed to recharge the body and the spirit to continue to perform mental and physical tasks.

   It's been many months since inauguration day on January 20, 2025.  A lot has happened since that required meeting after meeting among officials and politicians of all stripes. Some of those meetings dragged on and on; it could be said they droned on and on as speakers put in their various opinions about plans and policies as directed by POTUS.

     Hmmm. Sounds boring even in description. Can a 79 year old stay awake ? Maybe. Let's keep an eye on Sleepy. 

 

Food Imports: Beware

      So, you like shrimp from Indonesia, of white fish farmed in Vietnam, or salmon fromthe UK and Norway. And what about foods from our Chinese friends?  Well, lets look at the FDA inspection program-ie., how's it going since tRump took over the country and all, ALL, federal departments. Then he brought in the dude who breaks things, but I won't mention the turd's name. Cut the budget: don't add more inspectors or inspections. Let the states manage  their own. Shift the cost to the states that buy imported foods.

      So Congress allocated funds to increase on site foreign producers' factories and farm sites. However, there are too many sites and too many producers and very very few inspectors. The inspectors have to make their own travel arrangements including visas and passports, accommodations and local travel means.

     Oh, and then there's the issue of pay, or lack of. Now, none of the inspectors are being paid. Most don't report to the office; they work from home. Many senior inspectors retired rather than put up with the White House run by 5 year old narcissists. Congress is paralyzed.

      So, look over the food choices: buy American, especially food items. The inspectors are not at work. The producers know that the inspectors won't show up and if they do, they are inadequate for the task at hand.

     Good luck; buy farm to table. 

Measles in Canada

      Feeling sick? Have you been to Canada lately? They have a problem up there(north of US). The former British commonwealth anchor is our worldly neighbor which shares our northern boundary from sea to shining sea. We don't share any fences across the country, and traffic is generally uninterrupted. But now, something new.

      Measles has returned to the Canadian population. After years of careful eradication that eliminated the highly contagious disease, it has come roaring back. In the Provinces of Ontario and Alberta, vaccination rates dropped when misinformation created doubts that filtered down to families that questioned efficacy. After Covid, many families fell into a zone of doubt that allowed safety to be over ruled by public criticism of public health policy and its effectiveness against diseases that had been eradicated.

        The new Premier of Alberta, Danielle Smith, an arch conservative, delivered the message that 'personal choice' was more important than vaccination. What a boob. Sadly, the effects were immediate as measles came visiting her province, adding case after case of childhood measles. Measles is the most  contagious of  diseases; it is airborne, and lingers around those infected making the spread almost impossible to stop.

       So, don't go to Canada without vaccinations, especially if you have small children. Measles awaits you. And then there's the problems when you want to return: ICE might be waiting at the border crossing point, ready to put you in handcuffs and detention.

South China Sea is Getting Busier by the Day

    Oh the builders busy as can be: making muddy waters out in the ocean. Find me a shoal; find me a rock that tickles theb surface. Find me a spot to dump some sand, crushed rock; crushed coral debris, whatever. I want a "place" to call my own, our own little piece of real estate to place our flag.

    Now Vietnam is out there with the Big Boys-China & Co. Next thing you know Mad Vlad will break the surface there, too. Just what we need- a Mad Rus. He would join n a host of others including the Philippines, Brunei, Taiwan, Korea, and maybe even Japan, not wanting to be left out of the hunt. Vietnam just completed a sand pile complete with a 10,000 foot runway that can accommodate large(military type) aircraft. No longer is an aircraft carrier needed; it's cheaper to dig and push sand into a pile, on a pile of rocks. Busy as beavers.

NYC On The Brink

    So, thousands ran around the boroughs yesterday to entertain the lethargic masses sipping espresso from the sidelines as ultra fit minions waltzed the 26 miles from Staten Island to Central Park. It's a fine social moment when all types turn out to demonstrate physical fitness levels rarely found among average citizens. Even a couple/few Kenyans  showed up to get their names in lights(maybe at home).  Two of them shared the front page of the WSJ as they sought fame and fortune essentially together: Benson Kipruto(winner) and Alexander Mutiso-3/100's of a second behind).

     Tomorrow, Tuesday, locals will vote for mayor of NYC(some will stay home and nurse sore legs, sore backs, sore feet, and sore egos). The campaign will end and it appears to most that a 34-year socialist will win. Much has been written about him and his past and present. Given his obvious differences from the masses(in terms of age, religion, and political bent), surprising popularity became curiosity plus. But he's pretty much American-raised in comfort of the upper class that he inherited, it's not unusual for the next generation of the offspring to go far afield to demonstrate independence from Mom and Dad(se the 60's).

     So, what will voters do tomorrow? Vote for radical change with the offspring of a Columbia professor? or go with the old  political icon from upstate? Nobody knows but the polls indicate radical change. 

Ezra Klein: Liberals Thought Opinion Guru

     Ol' Ezra had the bully pulpit in Sunday's NYT's. No matter that his repetitious prose has approached boring, obvious, and hollowed-out rigid pronouncements. The poor man has been blind for years; blinded by his own biases. So, he claims he's overcome his youth experience in a far right section of Southern California. He also claims to have studied liberalism: its origins and history.

     Now he would have those NYT's readers believe that he knows not only what ails the Dems in general , but also what will turn the party ship around as it speeds toward irrelevance and the dustbin of history. His efforts hint of the upcoming NYC mayoral election, several Gubernatorial elections , and the 2026 midterms which will most likely not affect the Republican party's hold on Congress or the White House, now occupied by the criminal-in-chief.

       What I failed to read in Kline's column was any reference to a need of the Dems to get out the vote. More voters in an election leads to better outcomes. This is a fact of voting history, especially in a representative democracy.  How can the country, the Democratic Party, expect better outcomes when 92 millions of eligible voters fail to appear during an election? some pundits claim that more voters would not have altered the last election results. Hmmmm. Based on what?

      Looking at European Democracies, one sees a different variety(ies). The representative government bodies are more diverse than the US version. Instead of the 2-party system, they endure  systems that exist with multiple parties representing more diverse groups of voter citizens. America in contrast, embraced the 2-Party system as a better form; and then capped the number of elected representatives over 100 years ago, effectively isolating those elected officials from their constituents. Hence, a lack of participation in the process; a certain abandonment of participation= a lack of voters.

    So, Ezra needs to look at root causes, not just current relativism; the problem is more basic and more obvious to a casual observer. 

World Series OverDodger Blue Repeats

     Toronto had their chances and failed to overcome. Despite a lead double in the bottom of eleventh inning, the runner never scored. A game-ending double play, a Series ending- double play in front of the home town crowd, highlighted a rewarding Series for baseball fans. All the drama was there; all the visuals were there, all the would-be heroes were there and performed up to expectations(with some exceptions).

     Who is this Yamamoto? Where did they find this Ohtani guy? Why a Sasaki dude? And that Freddie Freeman-enough already, Freddy. Mookie? Done-zo .

Hezbollah: Back At It

    So, in southern Lebanon, the terrorist group Hezbollah is rearming, clearly breaking the recent agreement to disarm. Israel no doubt is aware of this change. Here we go again. These terrorist know little of what will be done, but they try to keep their hold on the Lebonese people by arming the soldiers who keep the locals under control. get ready for media coverage of Israeli attcks to wipe out nests of Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.

   Whee. Bombs away. 

California Museum Burglered

   The Oakland Museum of California in Oakland was burgled by unknowned perps who made off with untold treasures of the collection. They broke into a warehouse where the items not on display were housed for safe keeping. Hmmm. Copycat thieves? Perhaps. But authorities in France announced the arrest of an additional 5 suspects yesterday. None of the crown jewels have been recovered.

    In Oakland, the search goes on. Good luck with that investigation. Oakland is hardly up to the task of any serious criminal investigation. woefully short of police officers, the city of Oakland has little chance of finding the thieves. The newly elected mayor, Barbara Lee, has her work cut out for her. Don't hold your breath on this little caper. 

Halloween Night-Tonight

    Are you ready? For all the little monsters to knock on your front door? They 'll be out in force around dusk. Be careful driving; kids aren't thinking about much else other than candy by the pound.

    How about the House Dems and the House Republicans? They aren't out dressed up like monsters; they don't have to as we all know they are costumed idiots bent on winning a pissing contest. Our politics have become a pissing contest with the head pisser aiming way ahead of everybody else.

    The shut down, now on the verge of a record, continues. Federal employees haven't been paid in over a month. This is disgraceful. A Congress occupied by aging children, children bent on childish resolves, unable to articulate any decent arguments for passagwe of a spending bill that will pay employees. It has become evident that air traffic controllers are the people who might just cause the Congress to move. No traffic controllers-no flights, no safety margins, no safety at all. That might get the pathetic representatives to move. Like taking a laxative- even the best take a little time. Congress needs a laxative this time. A dose of trumpie is not enough. A dose of Mitch McC isn't enough.

       So, watch tonight's contest in Toronto; keep the candy handy. Be brave when answering the doorbell. 

World Series: Game 5; Game 6

    So, Blue Birds sing, LA Dodgers, not singing. LA lost Game 5, 6-1. Toronto is now in the lead- the Birds only have to win 1 of 2 to clinch the title for 2025. They haven't won in 32 years. It's time. The LA team wants to repeat after last year. Not easy to accomplish that feat.

      Toronto is  hungry-they want this win, this Series. They are at home. They know what it could mean for the city, the province, the country. Ohtani didn't perform any miracles the other night, and the rookie pitcher struck him out among other batters he also fanned(12). First time in 75 year that a rookie pitcher fanned 12 opposing batters. The 22 year old former minor leageur  was in a fog after his team's victory. It will take a bit for this win to sink in. But Toronto will be at home and the fans will be the extra batter to assist when ever they can.

Watch it.  

Ukraine: We Hear You

    So, the Kremlin sends a message to Europe and the World: We are Rus. We care not for human life or humanity.  We care not for our own people. We care only about empire and the glory that used to go with the Rus double eagles and a crown of some sort. we want real estate. We want to be feared as a powerful entity. we will not be second to any other entity.

    Mad Vlad is in charge. Don't forget this. 

Shut Down Affects Whom?

    So, House Speaker Mike Johnson refuses to call his House mates back in session to pass a budget. Meanwhile, Federal workforce participants are in week 5 of their respective furloughs. This is government by Jackass. Remember JackAss TV? It was an early venture into bottom-feeding TV watchers. Now we have the equivalent in Congress. POTUS fled the country on a tour of Asia and a few other entities.

     He could care less about his constituents who are looking for financial security only to have been give the federal "Finger".   Politics ala BOOMER. The Orange -Haired Baboon has some other priorities: talking deals; preserving medical benefits for working families-hardly a concern. Let them eat cake on their way to the ER where they will not be turned away. No insurance; no problem-we'll get to you soon. No money- no problem- we'll send the bill to the state capitol and governor.

    So, Mike Johnson: in over his little pea head, taking orders from Pete Hegseth, Kristi Noem, Bobby Kennedy, Kash Patel, and VP Vance. Can you imagine?  Next thing, the Kremlin will be sending orders to Mike Johnson. Then Stephen Miller will send some orders. Then a few Rep. Senators will step in. 

    How about the private donation for the US military members waiting for checks on payday? No Federal money, but POTUS & Co., send the military to the Caribbean and the Pacific Ocean to interdict suspected drug cartel delivery boats. Are they being paid? No.

    How about the State department employees posted all over the planet ? No pay-they are furloughed UFO(until further ordered). So, our embassy staff folks are still reporting for duty, answering  requests for info and data even though there aren't any employees to process and record the data. maybe the ambassadors will return home and tell POTUS to shove it. You know, give POTUS the finger. All well deserved.

    Maybe Mike Johnson will quit. He's not earning any accolades in his role as Speaker of the House. He's earning no accolades currently. 

      Time to Raise the bar on legislators who don't do the job. Republicans deserve all the opprobrium heaped on their respective heads. 

   Oh, flying these days? How about those air traffic controllers calling in sick? Maybe Pres. Reagan will come back and fire them to, and send the airlines into bankruptcy immediately. Long delays and many cancellations across the country. Thank you Republicans and Mike Johnson. 

Gaming and Gambling and Betting and Poker

      So, folks are betting on sports. Folks are betting on teams. Folks are going to casinos. Folks are playing poker. Nothing new here; been around since early civilizations found out there are risk takers among the human populations, everywhere. Front pages announced multiple arrests involving the NBA, players and coaches and hangers on. Additionally, many were involved in rigged poker games. Hmmmmm. How does one rig a poker game? Let us count the ways.

       First, befriend a few folks who probably have funds to put in play/at risk. Second, make plans to fleece the lambs of lots of cash by touting a high stakes environment with several other gamblers of means. Third, enlist those unscrupulous characters who know the game(s) and how to put on a performance that "appears' legit.

Fourth, and finally, enlist trustworthy compatriots who are techno savvy mechanics who can rig the table. Then, play until the 'marks' are broke or can't secure additional funds. Winner-crooks; loser(s) naive suckers looking for a possible big winning night.  Hmmmmmm. How does this happen?

      FBI Director Kash Patel outlined the scheme(s). Get the electric wizards to install various devices to make key observations of all the players all the time. In real time, of course. Modern technology does it quite easily. RADAR is used to observe the cards held by all players.   This is accomplished by inserting cameras under the playing surface. The automatic shuffling machine is actually a recording machine with chips that record each card dealt and whose hand receives what cards. To add another layer of secret sources, eyeglasses are also computers gathering subtle notes from players and machines. The results are what you might expect: winning and losing is easy when the info gathered is given to the schemers. 

       Is this all there is? Hardly. Now we know for sure that gambling has entered a new era, and the "mob" is in on the action. The names of many of those arrested reads like a play list from a Mario Puzo novel(see Godfather). Name ends in "O", arrest that man. About 30 arrests have been made; more to come.

World Series; Game 2

       So, Dodger pitcher Yamamoto took the wind from the Toronto sails as he cruised to victory 5-1 going the distance. LA was fortunate because the bullpen pitching staff had been used up the night before.

      The teams are traveling today to Los Angeles for Game 3 tomorrow on the West Coast, or Blue Coast if you will, Land of The Super Majority legislature where all laws are calculated to raise taxes on every last penny.

     Maybe the Blue Jays will turn this Series around, but don't bet against Freddie, Mooky, Ohtani, and Dave.  In Sacramento, the Forever Candidate Gavin Gruesom announced he might run for President in 2028. Sad how brains deteriorate so quickly politics.

Grand Opening in Tahoe City

     Long suffering residents of the West Shore, including Tahoe City, will now have new possibilities for modern convenience shopping. Safeway has announced a grand opening of their new store on West Lake Blvd. near the west entrance to Tahoe City.

      It is located in the old Save Mart site that has been under renovation for almost 3 years after Safeway beat Save Mart to sign a new lease.

      Locals have been traversing Tahoe City to gain access to the old Safeway store at the east end of town in the shopping center near the harbor. On weekends and during the summer season, making that drive was discouraging to say the least. Now, right at the convergence of Highway 89 and Tahoe Blvd one can park and shop with abandon. This is great during the winter season when that extra driving across town can be slippery at best and icy and dangerous at worst. 

     Safeway management noted that the wekk long Grand Opening will feature tasting sites, give aways, discounts and bargain pricing to introduce the new site. Plans for the old site have not been voiced, but, it can be assumed that some group will take advantage of the vacancy. 

World Series: Game 1 in Books

       So, Blue Jays v. LA Dodgers; David v. Goliath, etc, etc. US. v. Canada, etc.,etc. North v. South, lalalala. Money v. Grit, ha ha ha. Pundits v. AI, how technical. Blue Birds v. Urban Blight. And on and on and on.

       What are people thinking these days about baseball. Hmmmmm. The NBA season just started with some terrific competitive contests. However, the Feds came in and threw a wet blanket over the gambling scandal involving coaches, players, and organized crime. Now the best start for any league. The first game of the Series featured stars(Ohtani/Betts/Freeman) and some Blue Jays. 

     Dodgers scored first in the first inning-1-zip. Then scored again, 2-zip. Then, Blue Jays awaken: home run, tied 2-2. And then, Birds started chirping. 3-2, Toronto, fans getting excited. Then 5-2, then 8-2, then 11-2. Fans going crazy, standing, yelling, dancing, screaming. Pitching change(s). Can't stop the bleed.

Ohtani at bat, 0-3, bang, home run, 11-4. It ended at  that. A sound defeat from the Canadians, a humbling slap in the kisser. Who Dat team? Birds.

      So, the Series is off to a great, entertaining beginning as fans absorb what will be the end of baseball as we know as rules will change next season. Last week the Mayor watched Tom Hanks in "A League of Their Own", about the women's baseball league started during WW II and lasted until 1954.  The quote that has lasted continues today; 'There's no crying in baseball!" Classic. Watch it just for the sake of the period, especially in light of the beginning of a new League of Their Own, starting right now as teams are created out of thin air.

Rus: Thugs Are Us

       So, the Rus drone production has achieved dramatic results with an all out effort to construct vast numbers of flying robotic aerial arms carriers to send south and west to continue the onslaught against the beleaguered Ukrainian army and Ukrainian civilian population and the government infrastructure. Hmmm. And who wants to negotiate with Mad Vlad, the Stalinist retro dictator in charge in the Kremlin?

       The European leaders are shaking together in an attempt to agree on a plan to thwart this modern reign of terror. The world has become the playground of dictators and sycophants(se USA and Brazil and Gaza and  Texas and Florida and Washington,DC. Oh, and Beijing and Pyongyang.

     So drones have become the go-to choice of dictators etc.: cheap to make and difficult to defensd against. This past week, the memories of 9/11 and the manned missiles/kamikazes that killed over 3,000 American civilians by crazy Arabs from Saudi Arabia came on the heels of the latest political murder in the US. Trumpie and company are reeling after this sad event by a radicalized American youth who felt he had to commit murder to satisfy his longings to be relevant. And AI is just getting started, too. 

      Wall Street investors are salivating over the future possibilities of this "new" techno product that seems to satisfy so many investor needs: unlimited future profits at little cost of startup. Wheeeee. Off we go, over the cliffs.

JP MOrgan: Bankers Being Bankers

     Surprise, surprise: JP Morgan facilitated Jeffrey Epstein's human trafficking and sexual exploitation of minors was bank policy. Jes Staley, a highly placed executive, was the bank's officer in charge of the Epstein account(s). NYT investigative journalists uncovered the depth of the relationship that the bank carried on with the convicted felon who committed suicide in prison.

      Staley told Jamie Dimon that Epstein brought much business to the bank's private wealth department, naming individuals who could bring assets under management with large fees for the division. Staley often visited Epstein's island, residences, and offices to engage in conversations about his business. Epstein drew large amounts of cash from the bank, in the 10's of thousands to pay his own  minions who engaged in criminal behavior necessitating cash payments. despite warning from many insiders, including house counsel, Epstein was allowed to continue his relationship with the bank.

      Too big to fail is what we always hear after these banking scandals. And why does this continue? Because the banks spend money to silence the critics, the pols, and the media types who report their misdeeds. Some things never change; some people never change. JP MOrgan never changes.

Rus New Tactic: Attack the Ukrainian Government Structure

      So, the "Forever War " in Ukraine got a little more PR for the Kremlin: a record 800+ missiles landed in Kviv, destroying large office buildings housing government administration. There can be no doubt that these war crimes are authorized by Rus military planners and the Kremlin's own toadies of Putin. Deaths were reported among civilians, again. The length and breadth of the Kremlin's war crimes leaves nothing to the imagination. Here we have a powerful nation-the largest nation on the globe-targeting a much smaller adjacent country, in an attempt to satisfy the greed and perversion of the in-house dictator for life who has led the Rus for over 24 years. At 72 years of age, he getting long in tooth.

        The civilized world looks on in disgust at this blatant land grab by the former KGB Lt. colonel. We know he directs his lackeys to murder those dissidents who escaped abroad. We know he uses terror tactics to bend populations to his will, and we know how he broadcasts the murders he commits to terrorize his own people(A plane load of former Wagner Group leaders that was destroyed with all on board) is the best example. The murder of the well respected and well known dissident -Alexei Navalny- in prison, illustrates Putin's lack of moral character and his deranged thinking of past Rus grandeur under the mass murderer Joe Stalin. Why would a human want to revert a society to a land of intimidated puppets?

     So, the war continues, unabated. The Kremlin doesn't want to talk to anybody about their efforts, least of all the USA. Why would he talk with 5-year old? Have you ever tried to reason with a child? Not possible.  Maybe Putie would agree to stop the bombing and redraw the international boundaries to accept some territory now occupied by Rus army conscripts. It would only be temporary as Putin's time is running out. At best he has 3-5 more years to dance around the Steppe. Then, he's gone.

   We can hope his future is shorter rather than longer, but hope is not a strategy, as we know. 

Putie Goes to Far East

       Ol' Vlad(a ka VOVA) showed up this week in the unlikeliest place: Vladivostok, a city across 6 time zones from Moskva, which exists west of the Ural Mountains in --ta da: Europe! What in the world would bring the Kredevelpmlin Monster to the shores of the PAcific Ocean? Yes, we know about earthquakes in Kamchatka. Yes, we know that China had staged a parade that showcased a few military toys(hypersonic missiles, multi-warhead capable ICBM's, stealth bombers, etc). We also know that Kim-un was smiling among these heavy weights of Asia. Putie demonstrated amicability between Kim and Moskva, recognizing the benefit of sending a few North Korean troops to fight Moskva's fight down south in Ukraine where the Rus are facing another winter's misery with coffins returning to Mpother Russya filled with the frozen dead from the DonBass region of eastern Ukraine where they die like flies.

       But, distances aside, the visit to the Pacific Coast of the largest country on the planet signals to all and the USA that the Rus and its Kremlin operatives maintain a recognition of the strategic location of Vladivostok being next to China. The Amur River is also a border between the two countries in this area. For years, the Amur River has served the two countries as a dividing line between two agricultural zones. As the climate in the area changes and the growing season moves north across the river, Chinese farmers have followed the sun, northward, to raise more food crops necessary to feed China's aging population that favors fresh vegetables, etc. Some 5 million Chinese have settled north of the Amur. The message: don't get too comfortable here folks.

      As we know, the Rus and the Chinese have had boundary disputes in the past. But lately, the thaw between them has improved and Xi JP appears to favor Putie v. Trumpie who has signaled mixed messaging to Xi causing concerns about trade, visa applications, tariffs, defense, and , of course Taiwan.

   So, VOVA had to go to Vladivostok to show the Rus Tri -color: Red, White, and pale Blue. 

Sniveling Quislings: The New Republicans

        The Nation has been treated to another glimpse of Washington/Congressional reality as HHS Secretary, Robert Kennedy, answered questions from various elected members of Congress. Watching this charlatan squirm under the bright lights of media types is instructive in many ways. Sen. Elizabeth Warren did not hold back: she quoted dialogue from various Kennedy interviews and statements he made publicly in recent hearings and interviews.

      Two doctor senators, Cassidy and Barasso, asked questions of Kennedy, based on their experience in the field of medicine. However, these two sniveling Republicans voted to confirm this liar of all liars earlier this year, kneeling in the face of party scrutiny. How repulsive is that. They put on the serious face this week despite their humiliation of having their records touted as supporters of the MAGA agenda and the Trump hysteria since inaugural day, Jan. 20, '25.

      Also this week, Florida's governor, little Ronny D., signed a state law that does not require vaccinations among school children in the schools of the public realm. Get ready to witness the deaths of children, preventable deaths, soon. Who wants to live in Florida? Mickey Mouse?  Snow Birds?Democrats? Ha. 

Russyan Found Dead at Burning Man on the Playa

    Has the FSB made an appearance in Nevada's Black Rock Desert last week? A body was discovered in the temporary city of 75,000 in a pool of his own blood. It turned out that he was a Russyan visitor, aged 37 years old. Hmmm. Did he meet the fate of yevgeny Prighozin, and Company? Was he on the Kremlin's hit list? When did he arrive in the US and what kind of VISA did he carry? H1-B? Was he emplyed at the Burning Man Festival of the Arts?

      Police are investigating the death as a homicide. More information will be coming forward soon. Who was he camping with? Other Rus folks? How did he get to the Playa? Many questions, too few answers. Next we expect to hear from Ol' Peskov. 

Florida Gov Signs Vaccine Law: Children Will now Suffer

     So, Ron Desanctimonious will go on record as facilitating the spread of disease  among the State of Florida's children. Hmmmm. I hope all parents of minor children are prepared to care for those who fall sick after contracting preventable disease after they go to school. My, my, apparently Ron De Govenor is all in with MAHA and Wackadoodle Robert Kennedy, Secretary of HHS. Aftyer today's grilling by various US senators, Ol' Robert probably needs a long rest, maybe after a few more espresso drinks. The Old Druggy was very uncomfortable as he was raked over the coals by Bernie Sanders, Michael Bennet, Jeff Thune, Elizabeth Warren to name a few. He was combative and apparently Ok when his past statements were read back to him and he muddles his responses, again.

     The man is a conceited liar and cannot be trusted to tell the truth at anytime. When asked about statements he made to Ms. Monarez, recently fired head of CDC, he denied them. Today, in the Wall Street Journal, Ms. Monarez made a point to quote from his statements to her while she was in the office.

I have no sympathy for those who voted to approve Kennedy's appointment; they have to live with that. Sen. Dr. Cassidy cast a vote despite misgivings about Kennedy. He'll always be remembered for that vote. Other republicans can only hope Kennedy resigns ASAP. Trumpie probably has had it with the boob. Time will tell. Maybe Laura Looper will show up in Kennedy's office and she'll tell him to pack it in and head off into the sunset, at least over the horizon somewhere.

     It's getting very painful to read of the destruction of the CDC and its mission by a non -scientist who is painfully stupid.  BUt he does reflect the man who appointed him perfectly.

Call For Kennedy to Resign

       Senator Bernie Sanders came out yesterday calling for HHS leader Robert Kennedy to resign. He didn't just call for his resignation, he listed all or almost all the bad effects that have damaged the health system in the United States. And it was an incomplete list, to say the least.

      Was this outburst a result of specific actions? Absolutely yes. Kennedy, the former drug- addicted lawyer of various causes, long a pariah of the famous clan Kennedy of Massachusetts/Chicago, has been the poster boy of the anti-vaccine mob for years. He has mounted his ill-fated campaign based on his convincing a few wackos that autism came from hidden substances placed in the vaccine solutions. He went so far as to visit American Samoa where he pointed to the debunked theory and locals followed his suggestion and did not vaccinate their many children. What followed is an illustration of what can happen: scores of children died of measles, one of the most virulent viruses known. Well known for this fact worldwide led to complete eradication in the USA and most other western nations.

        Most recently, Kennedy fired the recently appointed head of the C.D.C. for not supporting his fake science agenda. Her 3 assistants resigned the next day. Chaos has ensued at the Center. Scientists are reeling for these continued  assaults on accepted research by this strange modern day anti-science movement. Kennedy has also cut research on mRNA vaccines, that vaccine produced in record time that saved millions of lives from Covid infections.

      We can only hope that this call for his immediate resignation will be followed by increased pressure from the White House to get its house in order.

Fat chance. 

Rus Bombard Kviv: Again

      So, does anybody not understand that Mad Vlad has no desire to stop the War. The most recent assault on Kviv rained down over 500 missiles and scores of rockets, killing more than 18 civilians. Emergency workers in the Ukrainian capitol were again putting their lives on the line as they ruched to rescue the injured survivors amidst the ruins. The Rus onslaught continued as they worked despite the Rus habit of following one air assault with another capturing the rescuers during attempts to find survivors. This is the modern weapon of terrorists, pirates, and murderers, the apt description of the Rus and the Kremlin lackies who carry out the madness of the largest country in the world's smallest mad man.

      What will the most powerful man in the world do to this tyrant/murderer? Will Trumpie do anything or just bluster as he has done since January 20, 2025? Certainly the medical field of psychiatry has diagnosed the  root of the problem(S) DEMENTIA.

     Listening to Trumpie talk is like listening to a broken record: noise, scratching, unintelligible ranting laced with groundless accusations against imaginary crimes and imaginary people(murderers, rapists, criminals from down South).  

   So, we have seen the future today and everyday for the last 7 months. Not pretty.

Kennedy Manages Chaos Poorly

       So, the former addict threatens his own staff with dismissal if they don't follow his fake orders. He doesn't realize what he's doing to the health of the United States. He's exhibiting all the characteristics of a demented person in over his head, way over his head to be exact. This reflects perfectly on the demented person(s) who approved his appointment in the very beginning. Unfortunately, Trumpie thought Kennedy would deflect criticism of POTUS actions and appointments. Wrong. The glaring lights shed on Trumpie are  putting all his bone-headed executive orders under the microscope of public awareness.

         Three of the top scientists/doctors at the CDC resigned all at once this past week. Their chief executive was opposed to supporting Kennedy's   directives to publish "his" nonsense guidelines that were to be disseminated under the banner of the CDC/Federal government. Ms. Monarez would have none of it. She does not wish to be branded as a supporter of fake science and fake HHS Director.

      So, Trumpie and his MAGA crackpots will own the next pandemic that's just around the corner. With air travel becoming more open globally, vcarriers of germs, and bacteria will shed disease everywhere. Without reasonable precautions taken by direction from the federal government scientists, the citizens of the USA are sure to suffer.

Hurricane Katrina: Remebered

      So, 20 years on, Hurricane Katrina is recalled. The Hurricane came ashore east of New Orleans and Louisiana. Warnings were announced days in advance and those that could hit the road, especially if they had been through Camille. So the storm came rolling across the Caribbean and slammed the low lying coastal area of Mississippi, roaring northward with a storm wave estimated to be 20'-25' high. This wall of water surged toward Interstate 10, about 10 miles from the shoreline.

     It ran out of power just at the highway. And then: the ebb. All the debris picked up on its way north gave the wave the content that acted as a grinder on the return to the shore. It acted like rototiller-chopping, turning, paving, and dumping its contents all the way back for 10 miles. This was more destructive than the advancing wave. Friends owned a restaurant in town of Lakeshore, just west of Bay St. Louis. The business served locals and many visitors along the coast road. The wave grabbed the building and everything in it and carried it away. No article was ever found again. The olnly remaining part was the concrete slab.

      The owners also had two commercial fishing boats: 1 of wood, and 1 of steel. The wooden trawler was smashed beyond repair  over 5 miles from the shore. The steel oyster boat was found near I-10, in a grove of large trees. It was hauled back to the port and eventually repaired. While the boat was repaired, the oyster beds were demolished and the industry disappeared for several years until a Federal program sponsored a reseeding effort that restored the industry.

       FEMA finally showed up bringing trailers and aid of many types. FEMA was faulted for being unorganized, under staffed, under funded, and poorly led. Many changes were put in place afterward. The seen at the Super Dome involving chaos and disastrous conditions are still recalled by the nation.

Tabulation of the Lies

    How long must the citizenry suffer through the lies of Liars in the Federal government? The head of the CDC refused to publish those lies. She was intentionally fired by HHS Head, Robert F. Kennedy, liar in charge of the nation's health. Why does Congress and the idiots within allow this to continue? Are they so delusional top think that the rest of the citizens don't recognize incompetence when we see it?

       The rest of the civilized world realizes that America has fallen off the path of progress into the abyss of ignorance and darkness. After all the years of progress, a drug-addled lawyer is now telling accomplished scientists that  left is right and up is down. George Orwell described this very thing about governments years ago. Now it's here, among us.

      What will it take to solve this pathetic takeover by the soldiers of lies and incompetence. This is Trumpie's revenge and retribution(s).   Not 9 months into his 2nd and final tenure as POTUS, the nation suffers unceasing harms. Whether the cancellation of programs, departments, laws, and policies, altogether the country is in crisis, a crisis unrecognized by elected representatives in the House and in the Senate. See the redistricting games playing out around the country. Who can stop the madness? Only the voters.

      The Mayor drove through downtown San Francisco early in the week. The scene was out of a bad movie: streets filled with obvious destitute characters, hanging about, waiting for something, anything to relieve their collective despair. Sorry; our governing bodies have no responses of any success. They are at a loss; the average American suffers, endless encounters with street level mental illness. Back in the day, these folks were put away, giving the locals some relief from the illness we observed daily. Not anymore; the institutions are closed; the lawyers and judges have ruled against the majority who seek peace and a normal urban life. It is not possible today: pick a major city; find chaos. New York? Lost. Chicago, lost. Los Angeles, lost. Pittsburg, lost. Detroit, lost. Minneapolis, lost. A sign of decline, sure.  

Head of CDC Pushed Out By Vaccine Skeptic Leader

    So, HHS Director, Robt. F. Kennedy, has dumped Trump's recent appointee, Susan Monarez. Her tenure lasted about a month. The merry-go-round of senior staff leaders continues as the wack-a-doodle 5-year Old performs his media sensitive government programs. Ms. Monarezz disagreed with CDC policies favored by Kennedy. She was of the opinion that HHS guidelines were wrong and not helpful for Americans trying to negotiate health directives across the board.

    Chief Vaccine skeptic Kennedy wasted no time in removing her, despite her appointment by Trumpie. As Covid surges again in various locations, the CDC now says it only recommends the new vaccines for those over 65 and those with compromised immune systems or other complications. The accusations are flying and whirling around Federal departments charged with overseeing our health system. The chaos is unprecedented and does not bode well for the citizenry. But, nobody expected Trumpie to do anything differently. 

Cabinet Meets For Record 3 Hours

    Trumpie just set the record for Cabinet meetings: 3+ hours of nonstop Trumpisms. Members were subjected to the blaring, honking, gurgling, stentorian braying of an incompetent boob(not haboob, that's different). The 79-year old child was on a mission to paralyze the Cabinet members so he could pontificate about all he has accomplished since January 20 of this year.  (Apologies to the sitting Pontiff in the Vatican).

     Let us NOT count the ways.

      Meanwhile folks in Washington, D.C., are being coddled by the National Guard troops, armed, roaming the back streets of the Capitol. In small team-sized units, they are seen in various uniforms of their home units; some from Virginia, Pennsy, , and Maryland. They've just begun carrying their own weapons as a show of seriousness as opposed to a "walk in the sun" as we used to call a patrol without incident. Trumpie topped it all with a call for the death penalty for murderers in the District. He says this will cut back the murder rate. Dems claim thaat the murder rate has gone down substantially. Hmmmm? Do we need a " murder rate" number at all? Is this America's modern answer to criminal behavior? What next: murder type stats?

       Meanwhile, the head of the infamous Sinaloa Cartel of Mexico made a plea of guilty in US court yesterday. He was sent to the US by the Mexican government to face charges of drug trafficking, etc., etc. It was a deal cut during the pre-trial period of negotiations between the defendant's  attorneys and prosecutors. The 77-year old drug lord was lured into a meeting in Mexico to help negotiate a truce between rival cartels. His lieutenant blew the whistle and the police were waiting. He has been in business for over 40 years, or most of his adult life. Mexico does not have a great record dealing with the cartels despite promises. Pres. Sheinbaum says the courts and police are focused on the criminal gangs. The US/Trumpie wants the cartels designated as terrorist organizations to allow the US military to enter the country to thwart their activities seen as a threat to US security. Right.

       So, Trumpie carrie son, in his own world, devoid of anything real. It's his world and we live in it, for a little while longer.
