The F.B.I. has been busy of late, busy enough that some of their activities make the news. Things began when they conducted a search of the home of Oakland's Mayor Ms. Chauo, who has been mayor for about 18 months. She was on the city council prior to her election. The F.B.I. has not announced why they searched her home or what they were looking for. The Mayor's chief of staff resigned days later. It appears that Oakland is suffering multiple budget problems, chief among them is a $392 million shortfall. On top of that, serious problems surround the Hegenberger Rd. access to the Oakland airport: many businesses are closing there or moving to different locations due to uncontrolled criminal activity. The OPD is in turmoil as the merry-go-round of police chiefs continues.
Meanwhile, the F.B.I.'s leader, Wray announced that 8 Tajiks have been arrested as illegal migrants from Central Asia. Terrorists from central Asia have conducted raids in various locations including Russya, Iraq, and Iran. They are believed to be from the group known as IS-K, a spinoff of ISIS. The publicity surrounding the arrests will play a key roll in upcoming elections, especially the November presidential election involving Joe Biden and DJT. Thusday night, these two will face off in a televised debate for all to witness. It will be telling.
