Crypto genius? Sam Bankman-Fried is on trial. Today is day 5 in the courtroom. Things are not going well in that venue. Defense lawyers have been admonished by Judge Kaplan, whose job it is to protect the jury from abuse by all lawyers in the courtroom, including the prosecutors. SBF's lawyer has been told to curtail his statements to the court that are repetitious. Mr. Goodwell has not the experience or the acumen to deal with an experienced jurist as Judge Kaplan.
Mr. SBF is probably getting opinions from his two parents-both law school legal beagles from Stanford University Law School(Please, please, say the Stanford provosts-don't dwell on their "former" affiliations with our institution). He's probably hoping for a miracle; but knows deep in his black heart he's toast and will spend most of his youth behind bars in Sing Sing, or maybe get lucky and spend time with Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes. Whatever.
