Our soon-to-be resurrected pizza palace in downtown Tahoma is well on its way. Construction continues apace. El Dorado building inspectors passed on the plumbing repairs and upgrades on Tuesday and the owners' interior remodeling will soon include sheetrocked walls and ceilings. Electrical rough has been completed, too.
The north corner of the parking lot remains fenced around the open trench. Several yards of sand fill was dropped yesterday and paving is on the calendar. The Mayor had a nice chat with both owners and they are confident that the reopening will happen on October 1st. They mentioned their marketing strategy: cater to 3 different groups: local Tahoma residents; cater to lakefront property owners; and, not least, our regular seasonal visitors and second home owners. Something for everybody!
