This gold field is at the surface which means that recovery efforts will be relatively easy to accomplish. Of course, that is only the beginning of the gold recovery. Once the ore is mined, the chemical extraction is required. By products of this process are notoriously polluted. Let's see: who will get the polluted by products? Maybe China will offer a "solution"? maybe our friends in Southern Italy who have experience in treating industrial waste? Maybe the Uighers in Western China need some?
