State of California Dept. of Water resources released an early seaon report on the Sierra snowpack. The report indicates that the situation is much improved over last year at this time with more snow on the ground by 50%. This is good news for all residents of the state, especially those living at the urban/wildland interface, the scene of much of the destructive fires that caused so much damage to life and property across the state.
Skiers, snow boarders, and resort owners(both of them) were delighted by the report. Tahoma residents are looking forward to a "normal" season for business among West Shore locations, including Homewood, Tahoma, Meeks Bay, and Tahoe City.
And more is on the way, setting up the crucial Christmas season for beautiful conditions for all visitors.
Lake Tahoe, California's Alpine playground, is anchored on the west shore by Homewood/Tahoma, straddling two counties:Placer and El Dorado. The mayor of Tahoma posts information related to the area and items of interest to residents and visitors alike. Its goal is to be informative, humorous, and timely. Hope you enjoy the site.
