49ers: 0-9

There doesn't appear to be any saving grace on the Bay Area's former heroes. This is the worse record ever for the team.   Starting in 1946, the team never had such a start.  Of course, back in those days, the teams only played 8 regular season games.  Now, it's 16.   Hmmmm.  Lots of injuries, confusion about schedules, and social media problems for team members.  Not a formula for success.
The move to Santa Clara has brought its problems.  Contract disputes have marred the relationship with host city, Santa Clara.  The location itself is a cause of many of the issues:  too much noise, too much traffic, too few fans,  etc, etc.
Maybe next year, maybe not.  There are lessons here for professional teams.  But will owners learn anything?  They seem to be a hardheaded lot with too much money.  Perhaps it's time to remove the special license given the owners by Congress.  Read-M-O-N-O-P-O-L-Y.  Since it's a billion dollar industry, maybe they need more oversight.  We'll see, but don't expect Congress to jump in soon-too busy with the White House.
