Trumpie in Limbo

Where is limbo? Who lives there? Why do we have limbo? Hmmmmm. So the litigation and courtroom drama has ended. It did not capture much imagination other than the fact that it was the first trial of a former President of our United States. Old Orangutan Head will now have to wait; to wait for the jury to decide his future: convicted felon(or miscreant) presidential candidate. The twelve know they are sitting on the edge of history. What a perch!

Guilty or not guilty, that is the question. After a ho hum trial, without much significant details, the country waits for the verdict along with Trumpie, world's Greatest Snakeoil Salesman. No matter the verdict, he'll get back on the campaign trail(unless the judge decides otherwise). Guilty or not, the spinners will work the verdict into their efforts to fool the MAGA bunch into believing that Joe Biden ordered the trial and its outcome. Go figure, but don't waste too much time thinking about the MAGA crowd and how they think. They think like university presidents: in a tunnel. A very narrow tunnel.

All Tahoma folsk will go on with their daily lives no matter what the verdict. We have other fish to fry.

Firewood:Again

Well, sports fans, it's that time of the year again: restock your supply of firewood. Why let the forest fires consume it all? How about us little guys? We burn a whole lot less than Mother Nature and Her wildland fiascos. So, get with it; hit the hinterlands, load up today.

The MAyor will be bringing up his supply shortly, having found a source down the hill. Wholesale prices; you p/u; bring your truck and trailer. Now the hard part: what is a cord of wood? How does one measure a cord?  Hmmmm.

Traditional suppliers do their own "measurements". Get it? Their 'own' definition of "cord". The dictionary definition is: 4'X4' X 8'! or: 128 cubic feet. Simple, really. ACCEPT NO OTHER definitions or explanations or "estimates". Be especially wary for the supplier who delivers and dumps the "cord" in your driveway or side yard for you to stack. Hmmmm. Then what? You stack and measure. Hey, wait. It only measures 85 cubic feet; or 90 cubic feet, or........ Better call the thief right back as the Mayor has done. Be especially wary of providers from Tahoe/Truckee-they buy from brokers down the hill- wholesalers who buy up old almond orchards, rip them out, and hire ag workers on weekends to cut it up, by the hour-$20/25 per hour. Now they'll charge you ++++++++(hauling, loading, sales tax((Ha)),etc. And they don't always cut to 16"-most often, less than 16".  3 pieces, end to end= 4'(48"), the basis for all cords; nobody wants a 4' piece!

So, there you have it. Why get cheated by some pirate; it's bad enough we have to deal with PG&E, the classic Pirates of California.

Have a nice day.

On Putin's Order Generals Sacked

Hey, wait a minute: Russyan army generals are being sacked while in positions of power. The Kremlin, Mr. Putin's private offices, issued orders to arrest and remove officers of the army(mostly staff working from Moskva and other bases far removed from frontline fighting in Ukraine). Seems there's been a budding industry of graft and corruption among the high ranking officers. But, but, if the oligarchs can do it, why can't we?

The oligarchs still hold a bit of sway but their days are also numbered as the stinking pile of corrupt practice has reached new heights and lessor folks have started to squeal on their masters, again. Oh the Rus; they just can't seem to get along. But when you're a citizen in the largest country in the world, this has been your life for centuries and no end in sight for the peasant, the lowly worker who just wants to live in peace. Oh, and the Kremlin needs a few more soldiers up front. SIgn here, please; or if not-Kolyma mines for you.

HAMAS Loses 950,000 Palestinians from Rafah

The Pirates of HAMAS will now face their deserved doom cycle. The IDF made a strategic decision and facilitated the movement of local and displaced Palestinians from the besieged city of Rafah, last stronghold of the Pirate/Terrorists of HAMAS. Over 950,000 civilians(mixed with a number of pirates) away from Rafah and the Egyptian border.

Discovered during the process were over 50 tunnels under the border between Gaza and Egypt. These tunnels were used by HAMAS to smuggle in weapons and ammunition to support their attacks on Israel. Most of these arms were brought in from Iran, chief support agent of HAMAS. Destruction of the tunnels and access to them will be paramount during the out migration of civilians, removing them as the protective shields for the terrorists called HAMAS; those pirates who murdered the 1300innocent Israelis on October 7, 2023 during a concert. Those hostages taken during the terrorist attacks will be found shortly.

Now the vermin of HAMAS will face their day of reckoning and its biblical implications: an eye-for-an eye. These rats will be systematically eliminated, once and for all. Yes, President Biden, it will be done. despite your pleadings to Bibi, et al. Then the rebuilding can begin; and the nay sayers will swallow their bile and look elsewhere for anti-semetic topics.

Hmmmm. And what does Antony Blinken have to say, now?

G7 Will Divert Russyan Funds to Ukraine

G7 countries will decide  on the policy that will determine when funds owned by Russyan institutions will be sent to Ukraine to pay for damages caused by Russyan "Special Operations" in that country. It's about time after 2 + years of punishing military activities there. Now the Kremlinwill start paying directly for the damage. Old MAd Vlad will probably need some stomach medications to relieve his dyspepsia. Another day in the life of Mad Vlad.

Where are the Hostages, Mr. Sinwa?

As world opinion focuses on the Israeli army's operations near Rafah in Gaza, the media seems to have abandoned the remaining hostages held by HAMAS since October 7th when they were taken by terrorists after these same terrorists had murdered over 1300 innocent victims who were at a concert. The main stream media has failed, again. It is antisemitism in spades,if you will.

Trumpie Waits for the Verdict

The Prince of January 6th will have a nice weekend, Memorial Day weekend, to boot. He can speculate with his toadies about the likely outcome of the jury's deliberations. Will the first former president in US history become a convicted moron or not? That is the question of the  day, month, year. Old trumpie will probably need a few drinks to calm his nerves. He doesn't really drink, but maybe now, he will imbibe a tad of fire water.

Melania is probably trying to assuage his fears of conviction, while his support team are playing the game that Trumpie wins no matter the verdict. Heads I win; tails you lose. Perfect. The media are writing copy for each outcome. Pundits are shaping stories that will identify all the legal reasons causing a guilty verdict and a not guilty verdict. What fun to be a staff writer of the NY Times or the Wall Street Journal. Oh, the glory. Plays like WaterGate redux. But, no matter, Trumpie will have talking points aas he hits the campaign trail to take up the Anti-Biden rhetoric again. Old Sleepy Joe is ramping up his speeches to reflect the outcome and how it peratins to his campaign. Oh, the joy.

And the electorate across the country will grown under the weight of another 5 months of pathetic political punditry.

Ukraine Gas Attack

Hmmmmm. Is the use of poison gas a new, desperate tactic of the Russyan military in eastern Ukraine? Has the "new" military commander of the "Special operations" decided he has to give Putin what he wants now? Has the Kremlin decided that nothing will spare the need for a 'victory' of sorts on the ground? Has Mad Vlad flipped his lid? Has the former KGB colonel decided that his 'manhood' needs a "big' boost that Viagra cannot supply any longer?

Well, maybe he thinks that his arch nemesis down South-Volodomyr Z. has convinced the USA that the Ukrainian military needs weapons that can reach deeper into Russyan territory than is now permitted by the West. Volodomyr has requested permission and America's top diplomat mentioned the situation after visiting Kviv yesterday(May 21,'24). Since the pathetic Russyan military is using poison gas now, a suitable response will take the form of offensive action, eg. offensive drones, missiles, and the occasional fighter bomber sortie into Russyan airspace. Touche' Vlad; see how you like a bomblet in your vodka. Now what do you tell Peskov to announce?  You, know, he'll say anything through his little mouth, the vodka swilling pie hole from which all the stupid verbiage spews forth from the Kremlin.

Now that you've been "elected" for a 5th term, you think your place in the History of the Rus is secure. It is, the place that will be known as Putin's Place, or the Grand Shithouse Of History of Siberia and the Steppe. What a wonderful place. Fortunately, we won't have long to wait, perhaps another year or two before you sip the Kool Aid.

Have a nice day.

Who WIll Succeed the Presidency of Iran

Old man Khamenei, Supreme Leader of the Revolution, and 85 years old, or as we say in the West: OLD. So now the Old Man(really old) must make a couple of moves to ensure the Revolution continues unabated. His choices: younger men(no women need aspire to anything outside the hovel where they must live). Younger men in Iran today have no revolutionary memories-they were born too late, So now they will assume power strictly because the Old Farts are aging out of  EXISTENCE. The Old Farts will go to the happy hunting grounds where they can kill opponents with impunity all day long: Heaven, to them.

So, will Khamenei hold elections(don't ask for an Iranian definition of 'election", please). What about Khamenei's son? Wouldn't he be the chosen one? Would he follow the Iranian rule-execute all nonbelievers w/o mercy. Mercy is not in the Iranian lexicon. The late President Raisi was well known for his murderous ways. When in doubt about a suspects true beliefs-execution fixes the problem. He was known for executing over 5,000 political prisoners. That means 5,000 Iranians were murdered by the government by presidential order. Hmmmm. Does that quell dissent? Usually. And also eliminates future problems for a few years or so.

How about the pilots walking around Tehran on egg shells? (Love the picture!) Helicopter pilots in particular. I'm sure their ranks will be purged. If I, the Mayor, was a helicopter pilot in the air forces I'd be flying anywhere out of the country that would let me land my aircraft. Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Switzerland, Belgium, Congo, Egypt, Qatar, Syria, or even Beirut. Not a good situation for Iranian aviation right now. I'm sure the families of all aviators are hearing the knock on the door at midnight. Please come with us; to headquarters for some questioning. No, you don't need anything, just your shoes/sandals, not even a toothbrush. Won't be needing that any more! And so it goes in a dictatorship run by crazies.

Death of Iranian President

Hmmmm. Pilot error: dense fog, mountains, unfamiliar terrain = PILOT ERROR or " Get there Itis", both common afflictions of HELICOPTER PILOTS. A universal problem not an exclusive Iranian problem. But they own it; or perhaps one of the many dissenters found a way to jam the helo radar systems so the pilot was actually flying w/o radar, w/o navigation aids; w/o proper training, w/o proper flight planning, w/o experience to fly in fog, certified stupid by Iranian aviation authority.

Hmmmmmm. What more could go wrong in a religious government run by crazies?

General Bud Anderson Passes Away in Auburn California: Triple Ace of WWII

The last living triple ace of the United States Air Force in WW II passed away in his sleep yesterday at the age of 102. He had a long and star-studded career in aviation, starting out in 1944 and serving until 1972, including service in Vietnam where he completed 25 missions flying F-105 Thunderchiefs during bombing missions over the Ho Chi Mihn Trail in South East Asia/IndoChina.

After his military service, he became a test pilot in California along with his famous squadron mate, Gen. Chuck Yeager. He was among those called those with "The Right Stuff" in Tom Wolfe's book of that name. They were heralded as the pilots who would lead America into the space programs that eventually put John Glenn and Neil Armstrong into space and onto the moon in 1969.

Anderson and Yeager stayed friends long after WW II and enjoyed fishing among other past times during retirement. They were often sought after by historians to explain their personal stories for the next and future generations of astronauts and pilots. Anderson credited his perfect eyesight for his success in aerial combat. He said he was able to spot enemy(Nazi) aircraft well ahead of contact giving him and his fellow pilots an edge that allowed victories when dueling at 15,000 feet. He flew the P-51 Mustang, the single engine fighter that changed the course of the war by flying as fighter protection for the B-17 armadas that flew over Germany and destroyed the industrial heartland of the Third Reich. He flew along with Gen Yeager on their last mission in January, 1945. His aircraft carried the name"Old Crow" after his favorite whiskey. In Vietnam, he flew "Old Crow II".

President of Iran Raisi's Helicopter Crashes

While flying to another airport, the helicopter carrying the President of Iran has gone down in the far north corner of the country. A group of 3 aircraft were flying on a mission carrying delegations of politicians from a meeting in nearby country to discuss the ongoing situation in Gaza involving HAMAS and the State of Israel.

The leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has made a statement on national radio and TV announcing the crash and that search and rescue groups are combing the area in the vicinity of the last known location of the helicopter. While nothing else is known about the possible causes, many rebel groups are found operating in these areas and any one of them could be involved. Also, the long arm of the Kremlin cannot be discounted as Kremlin operatives are well known for sowing discord among international players especially in the Middle East and Africa.

The world waits for updates but usually the results are not good for those aboard the missing aircraft.

Updated announcement: 5/18/24

The helicopter crash site has been located and examined: there are no survivors among the passengers  and crew members. It appears that weather and visibility(or lack there of) were factors involved. Communications, if any before the crash, have not been made public. The Ayatollah says the president died in service to the country. How kind of him to say that. really.

Commie Bros Hugging in Beijing

The photos are the epitome of comic art: two ancient dictators smooching for the media to send a message to the West: we are brothers of dictatorial governments and we will win. Thank you very much for your continued support. More arms please as Volodomyr keeps firing missiles at my oil storage tanks and depots. Help me, please, Mr. Xi.

J.D. Vance: I'm a Loser

Who said politicians are ego driven?  Caeser Augustus? Tacitus? Mao? Ghandi? Joe the Plumber? Now we have a classic striver; a man driven by primordial needs to find approval(s), a man willing to grovel at the knee of the worst president in US history: the first ever to be tried as a criminal suspect after serving in the White House. Good, old J.D. Vance(I don't think he has a real first name!). He so wants to be a vice-presidential candidate he'll do anything. Where does it end? When does it end for the junior senator from Ohio? Where is Ohio? Who cares? It's a state full of losers anyway.

Trump may take the witness stand today or Monday. But not really; he needs more sleep to campaign after the jury gets the trial decision effort. Oh, he wants to be convicted; it will boost his ratings for sure. What a country!!!

Trumpies Final Days in Court

ExPresident Orange Hair will have to sit through a couple more days of his courtroom saga. As the first former president to face a criminal trial, Trumpie is making history no matter the outcome, win or lose. We all know he's a loser, so not much will change of our opinions. Loser.

His star accuser, Stormy Daniels, has her moment of fame in court and had her "way" with Trumpie making his lawyers look as silly as the Donald as he looked away from the scorn being directed at his seat. The judge did not have to reprimand the Old Coot so reporters in attendance didn't have much to write about and the judge didn't levy any new fines. The trial will end sooner rather than later and the decision will come down after the jury decides the evidence they've listened to for the last 3+weeks.

Finaaly, the cuntry will get some relief, however temporary, of the saga of the People v. DJT.

California Governor Juggles Budget Numbers

Governor Gavin Gruesom has been working late these past few weeks trying to spin his budgets numbers which clearly are in the red. The deficit projected runs to $38+ billions. Hmmmm. The support base understands: drive away high earners with their high taxable incomes, and voila: deficits. So, what will Gavin do? Raise taxes? NO, no, no, no. Cut programs? Yes, yes, yes, yes. Get out the chainsaw. No. Get out the meat cleaver, no, again. Get out the scalpel: yes, make surgical cuts across the boards. Eliminate 3,200 unfilled state jobs. I like that: no workers can complain since they were never hired. Ha!

Then, pull support for programs that don't involve potential voters, especially if they lean Republican. Cut some agricultural subsidies: corporate farmers are not numerous, even if their campaign donations are. We can promise them big bucks after the election. The Bullet Train To NOwhere-slow down the project, but keep it despite predictions of disaster. Then give a few extra bucks to education at all levels: good for publicity. And now the budget is balance again.

Everybody happy?

Have a nice day.

Blinken GOES TO UKRAINE

Pres. Biden continues to demonstrate continued support of the Ukrainian efforts to thwart the Russyan takeover of the country. Specifically, anti-aircraft missiles, artillery ammunition; armored vehicles, field medical supplies, field rations; communications gear, logistical support unit equipment, radar components; new drones.

Mr. Blinken is a wandering ambassador of Pres. Biden, working the capitols of US allies, passing on foreign policy as called by the White House. Shuttling hither and yon, the tireless Secretary of State carries messages to leaders that indicate unfailing US support against Russyan and Chinese overreach. It's a difficult task, but our Secretary of State is a seasoned diplomat and can handle the mission. He has support of the newly appointed ambassador -at-Large Nathanial Fick, who follows the Secretary wherever he goes to coordinate cyber security policy among allies. His mission is to create a single, unified policy among those countries that rim the East Asian sphere. It's working.

Putin Visits Xi JP

The Little Wannabe Communist, aka Mad Vlad Putin, visited his friend in Beijing today. He wants to negotiate a deal now that he's been reelected for a 5th term as Dictator of the largest Country in the world(mostly frozen Siberian taiga unfit for human habitation). So Dictator Putin wants a lot of support from his southern like-minded dictator. Russyans are at war in Ukraine now in year 3. Not much has changed: Russyans are dying by the thousands and there's no end insight. Grumblings exist an require constant vigilance so they don't overwhelm the Kremlin's misinformation campaign aimed at dissenters.

Putin needs military weapons; China needs oil and markets. Yuan goes to Moskva and rubles go to Beijing. No, it's oil goes to Kremlin and electric cars go to Moskva. Or, Taiwanese computer chips go to China, and then go to Kremlin hackers. No, wait. Chinese chips go to Vietnam and then to America then to Kremlin. No, wait. First they go to Mexico, then China then Russya. Oh, who gives a growl. Putin needs help; Xi JP will give after he gets: typical Chinese business deal: Heads I win, tails you lose. Thank you very much, and welcome to China.

Mayor Has Returned: Locals Jump for Joy

Joy is not happy; but she should be. After a month of wild adventures, His Excellency, the Mayor of Tahoma is back, back to the grind of local politics, California political intrigue, and general devil-may-care attitudes.

We will cover the best topics that can be found when tipping over rocks, large and small. One never knows what treasures will be unearthed: wiggling, squiggling, squirming topics of all sorts will be exposed. We'll look at the Kremlin and the animals who reside there in; we'll gaze at the Russyan efforts to cannibalize Ukrainian citizens where they have kidnapped children and relocated them away from Ukraine; we'll look to GAZA for answers to Iranian efforts to destabilize the world, especially in the Middle East; and there's always China, a constant topic given its proclivities to take over everything; and we'll even look at our beloved LAke Tahoe to discover what parasites are invading this week.

So, sports fans, hold onto your seat(s): the Mayor has returned, hat in hand, ready to jump into the 'lists' and go toe-to-toe with evil doers, shady characters, bribery, skullduggery, bad coffee, Sacramento super majoritists, and spendthrifts there in.

Winter is over; summer is

coming. Get ready.

Putin: The Answer MAN.

It's that time of the year folks: Czar Putin goes on the airwaves to talk at his people and answer their many questions to the best ...
