MInister Of East Asian Affairs Looks At AQI

Chengdu at Sunset through smog: Aug. 6th, 2018
Our able Minister is East Asia has been on the ground for awhile now and is adjusting to conditions.   While he has been warned of environmental conditions around the various Chinese provinces, it seems the reality is a bit different.  The AQI, or air quality index is a well established key to local air quality measurement.  In Chengdu , an urban area that hold about 15 million people, the AQI can vary  dramatically day to day.  A good day anywhere has an AQI of 50 or less.  Recently, the AQI in Chengdu was 138. (see above photo).
Our Minister is traveling around the country and more reports will be forthcoming.  Stay tuned.
