So, ICE in Minneapolis= retribution. Certainly, reporting on events in that city have stirred emotions across the political divide. In Minnesota, a Blue state, Gov. Tim Walz, a recent vice-presidential candidate, declared he will not run for a 3rd term for governor. The polls indicate that the massive fraud committed by citizens of his state, mostly of Somali descent, has stained his reputation beyond repair. (Gov. Walz was vetted by the DNC and went on the campaign trail opposing Pres. Trump and VP Vance). All this despite the well-known details of the fraud exposed in the NYT.
Where is the outrage? Nobody is talking today or yesterday. ICE activities, ordered by the White House, has conveniently over shadowed the massive fraud within the state. ICE came in and stomped civil rights and demonstrated authoritarian tactics designed to sow fear among the citizenry in Minneapolis. It has worked, somewhat. But mainstream media has jumped on the horse and is riding the animal across the fruited plain to great effect. Just today, photos of ICE grace the front page of the NYT's national edition. It depicts the confrontation that ended with the killing of Renee Good, a mother of three children.
Trump won re-election after garnering 75 million votes. His margin was barely 2 million over his opponents. But, over 73 million eligible voters stayed home(did not vote). Hmmm. Where is the outrage among the non-voters? They are too busy. They are out of touch. They could care less. They are at the casino. They are on the job. They don't like the "system". They are possessed by demons. They are following Rudy Giuliani to wherever he is likely to go. They want some of Joe Biden's federal Covid funds. They are waiting, waiting, waiting for ____________(fill in blank).
So, Congress is among those people waiting, watching, hoping something will arrive in time to save the democracy we've enjoyed for 250 years. But, as anyone can see by the daily events of this administration, the clock is ticking. Tick, tick, tick.
