US Senate Awakes Against Trump

Well, it took awhile, but finally a few of the 100 decided to offer some advice to Trump's policies regarding Mad Vlad and his Little green Men who have been waging war in Ukraine for over 3 years. Three years. Total war in Ukraine. Hundreds of thousands of deaths civilians and soldiers alike. Indiscriminate bombing; random attacks on civilian targets. Untold billions of Euros, dollars, and that waste paper bank note called ruble in Moskva-gone forever into the waste basket of armed conflict.

Trumpie the negotiator: how sad. Trumpie the bewildered; Trumpie the Sad Sack; Trumpie the Dumbfounded; trumpie the Lost Soul;  The Outer Borough gambler; the Outer Borough New Yorker; Trumpie the Anti-Hero; trumpie the statesman-ha; Trumpie the International Economic Leader; trumpie the tariff King; Trumpie the Financier's Genius Advisor; trumpie the _____________(fill in after light-hearted inspection of evidence, and last but not least :Trumpie the Great Communicator.

So, Sen. Lindsey Graham brings a bill to the Senate. He asks his colleagues to press this bill forward to increase sanctions on Putin's Russan oil oligarchs who sell their black gold to international thugs who need it and can't buy in from some of the Middle East suppliers. Oh, others are also involved. So, secondary sanctions offer an opportunity to put the squeeze on Vladimir & Co. Scourge of the modern world.

Let us suport Ukraine and Ukrainians; fighting the fight of their lives against an internal rogue state with a diminished population of vodka-swilling idiots. Over 100 years of international piracy buttressed by a people  known commonly as "The Rus". Sad to say, they are unfit for the 21st Century . Time to call in the markers. Enough of this modern piracy, also called an invasion and land grab.

Let us hope the former Boot Licker will stand up to Trumpie and his White HOuse Lackies. Good Luck, Lindsey. You'll need it. If no republicans are there ton support this: Quit. Don't ruin your already tarnished reputation.

House Passes Bill

The budget bill put out by the House last night will go to the Senate to see what those incompetent boobs can do. A few representatives from high tax states got a sop to make it palatable to their Senate agents. We'll see how it fairs by the weekend. Don't get your hopes up. The Qataries are dancing in the streets as Sec, Defense Hegseth decided to accept the 747 jet for air Force 1 for Pres. DJT. It's loaded with all the latest in snoooping electronics so the world will know the depths of DJT depravity in real time.

What a country.

Trouble in Pyongyang: Ship Issues

Chairman and Great Leader Kim Un has a navy problem. His newest ship sank after launch. Hmmm. How many heads will roll in North Korea? Countless.

Jill Biden: Fraudster

Well, now. Women have been accused of many things, not the least being manipulative. Now we have what could be called one of the most manipulative women in American history. Former President Joe Biden,  hasn't been seen  much since DJT's inauguration. He retreated to his home in Rehobth Beach, Delaware. Has he done anything while there? Working on his "papers"?

What has Dr. Jill been doing? Aiding and abetting the continuing coverup of the coverup? Shame on her and all her staff for allowing this charade to continue. And what of Merrick Garland's decision to keep the audio of the Mr. Sur's hours long interview with the sitting president before the election? Now we have the audio record. Now we know Joe Biden was a confused old man during the campaign. No, it wasn't just a bit of confusion, it was the real deal.

Books will be forthcoming. The truth will be revealed in all its ugliness. Dr. Jill will go down faster that Pres. Woodrow Wilson's wife who ran the White House after Wilson had a stoke all those many years ago. Mainstream media: Hah-fake news or lack there of. Oh, the Democratic elites: hah, fake intellectuals all.

I'm not embarrassed for any of this. This is the world we live in.

More Calls for Secondary Sanctions Against Putin/Russya

A major national newspaper editorial has called for additional sanctions against the Rus madman: Vladimir Putin. The Wall Street Journal is the conservative organ of the conservative business empire of the wealthiest companies and individuals in America. The editorial staff never ceases to trumpet conservative positions. To trumpet increased sanctions against Putin's madness will continue unabated. To change now would affect the outcome during the presidency of DJT.

Read it; it's the lead in today's edition. Wednesday, May 21, 2025.  Included is a note to China and its own madman, Xi JP.

Secondary Economic Sanctions Due

So, Mad Vlad avoids confrontation(meeting) in Istanbul. Then he orders a massive drone strike on Kviv, killing innocent civilians. Russyan military moves under Kremlin supervision has not changed since Little green Men invaded their neighbor in Ukraine.

What is the world going to do? Sanction those countries that BUY Russyan oil. Simple. If you take delivery of any Russyan oil shipments, your country/economy will now suffer the consequences. Restrictions will be imposed on those countries in many forms: banking; imports and exports; diplomatic restrictions; and student visa cancellations; and travel restrictions; andon and on and on. Russya is not good for the world, anywhere.

Mad Vlad must be dealt with in this manner: no to invasions anywhere.

Stop Mad Vlad now.

Il Papa: A New Pope Elected in Rome

After the Death of Pope Francis, the cardinals meet in a conclave to elect a new pope. The system has been in place for centuries. In a coincidence, a movie was recently released that was based on a novel that highlighted the process of selecting a pope. The movie was watched an additional 3 million times after the cardinals gathered.

The cardinals are sequestered in the Sistine Chapel, part of the Basilica of St. Peter in Vatican City, the independent nation that exists within the city of Rome. This magnificent setting can only inspire these individuals during the process.

Tens of thousands of Christians and Catholics of all stripes gathered in front of St. Peter's to watch for the smoke that curls up from the chimney that vents the stove inside the Sistine Chapel. As the ballots are cast and counted, the ballots are then burned. If the necessary number of votes is achieved, (75%), the ballots generate white smoke that indicates to the watchers that the process has been successful and a new pope will soon appear.

To the shock of the world, an American has been chosen. Pope Leo XIV is the new pope. He was born in Chicago, IL. He has been active in the Vatican after years in Peru. He has been close to Pope Francis since he was chosen over 13 years ago. While Francis was a member of the Jesuit Order, Pope Leo is a member of the Augustinian Order of priests, a smaller order dedicated to helping the poor.

The new pope will have many items to attend to on his list as he prepares to takeover the reins of managing 1.8 billion Catholics around the world. Perhaps No.1 on the list are financial issues related to the  Vatican Bank and the investments of funds by past managers of the bank. It has been a problem for a number of years and despite Francis efforts to clean house, there are still problems.

 Long Live Pope Leo XIV

Voter Turnout in 2024

So, Pres. Orange Hair won the election; by about 1.4 million votes of 150 million votes cast by the electorate. A very thin margin of victory, indeed. VP Harris lost the election with fewer votes for her and her party, the democrats. beset by infighting among party leaders, the Dems saw this margin as a shift in sentiment by middle class voters, those voters who were registered as Dems but switched their party when it came down to the candidate of choice. They voted for the party least likely to favor their own interests.

That would be the Republican Party, the Conservative Party, the Libertarian Party of the Koch Brothers, and the Independent Party of disaffected grumps. It came to a disturbing trend that has been going on for decades. Voters don't show up at the polls. They stay home; in many ways a vote in itself: they don't trust the candidates of either party, and they don't want to favor any policies related to either party. They stay home and sulk.

These voters often complain to others about the outcome of the election. They complain they are not adequately represented by the candidates. Their needs go unfulfilled, unmet, and they continue to suffer a score of maladies caused by government inaction and neglect. Woe is me; woe is us; nobody cares; woe, woe, woe.

The missing 90 millions

Who stayed home? 90 million eligible voters, that's who stayed home. Almost 45% of eligible voters decided they would not participate in the outcome of the 2024 election. All of the punditry surrounding the outcome-the 2nd election of Crazy DJT, revealed a nation wide malaise, a contrary citizen who mocks politics as a remote game played by wealthy insiders without regard for the populace. This is not new, this attitude. What's new is the effect of the disaffection: the election of the grossly incompetent; the grossly inexperienced; the most gross person(see term No.1).

It's time to recognize the severity of the outcome when so many stay home and so few eligible voters show up at the polls. Time to make them pay for their inaction. Time to show them the importance of participation. Perhaps they were ill on election day-vote absentee. Vote by mail; have your ballot delivered by family or friends. All methods offered are designed to assist those voters in casting a ballot.

Let's fine them all: $10. This would equal about $900 millions of dollars. Hmmmmm. Would it help? One thinks that some would respond to the fine; few would care about $10. Let 'em try to get it some might say. How about $100? This would equal $9 billions, enough to buy a few fighter jets, or pave a highway a few miles. Many more might vote instead of facing this minor irritation.

Perhaps a free meal would encourage participation. Or- 10 lottery tickets-this would really bring out the voters: a chance to win a few hundred millions. I'd think about it myself. Maybe Putin would vote here. Or Viktor Orban. Or Mark Carney. Or Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico. A little research would supply the weight behind this method, and it needs to be done. Statisticians tell us more is better in voting. We believe them.
