Where is Svetlana Petriychuk?

Who is Svetlana Petriychuk and why do we care? She is a Russyan in Russya, in Moskva to be exact. But, guess what? She's been arrested by Kremlin agents in her own country. That's right: a Russyan in Russya arrested. Ha,ha,ha,ha,ha. This is news? No, not hardly; arrests of Russyans by the state has become common place as the Kremlin under Mad Vlad(VOVA) has turned against its own people-the Rus. Old Vlad has taken a page from the playbook of the Czars, the former Russyan leaders who oppressed the peasants in every way, everyday. Say the wrong thing-off to the Gulag with you. Where and which penal colony this time?

The Gulag Archipelago is again thriving in the largest country of the world. The vast Siberian Steppe is getting repopulated-with prisoners of all stripes: pro-Ukrainians, pro-Chechens, pro-Americans, journalists, artists, ordinary workers who said the wrong thing, technocrats, techno internet bloggers, scientists, and of course academics and professors of just about everything. Ah, Russya, you never let us down. You can always be counted on to display the worst of human nature. We also know it's genetic and you are born to be this way because you carry the gene that is inescapable: the anti-human gene! Yes, the Rus are anti-human, then and now.

So, Ms. Petriychuk is in prison, charged with supporting terrorism. Of course, her words were actually anti-terrorism, but this is Russya. Her artistic and literary success has established her as a notable figure inside Russya. She is, in fact, Russyan. But she must be a deviant  Russyan: she speaks the truth. Hmmmmm. Have her arrested. Her co-producer was also arrested and charged with supporting terrorists. Yevgenia Berkovich was in court in the dock with Svetlana, charged with producing the play, "Finist the Falcon", which was performed in various locations and the subject of readings of the work.

Folks in Tahoma support the arts-see the summer concert series announcements for July 2024. We support all artists- universally. To have these two professional artists arrested by the state is an act that causes grave concern. In the courtroom, Ms. Petriychuk is seen wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with the image of a lighthouse- a universal symbol of illuminating a safe passage, a safe haven, and a saving guide.

Obviously, the symbolic gesture escaped the drones working for the Kremlin and Mad Vlad.
