So, commodity prices continue their slide south. Most prices in New York were down including copper, gold, oil, and natural gas. Which brings us to the topic at hand: propane for Tahoma residents. Since the few suppliers know that snow is falling, they feel confident they can get the price offered. Now you know that there is a gargantuan surplus out there; so- negotiate downward. It's easy just say, "It's too high. Co. X is down to $1.40/gal. delivered." They will then make a new, lower offer. Then make a counter off. You will be amazed what happens then. Always keep in mind current 'retail price is $0.35/gal. Think of monopoly, anti-competitive forces, and collusion at play here. Thank you, Democrats and Republicans for your efforts on behalf of consumers.
Meanwhile, gold is at it's lowest since 2009. Hmmm. Maybe a few krugarands in the portfolio would be nice....or, a pre-revolutionary Russyan gold coin. No, just joking.
