The Oakland Museum of California in Oakland was burgled by unknowned perps who made off with untold treasures of the collection. They broke into a warehouse where the items not on display were housed for safe keeping. Hmmm. Copycat thieves? Perhaps. But authorities in France announced the arrest of an additional 5 suspects yesterday. None of the crown jewels have been recovered.
In Oakland, the search goes on. Good luck with that investigation. Oakland is hardly up to the task of any serious criminal investigation. woefully short of police officers, the city of Oakland has little chance of finding the thieves. The newly elected mayor, Barbara Lee, has her work cut out for her. Don't hold your breath on this little caper.
