Report from the Front.

Our Minister of War in the Middle East has sent a revealing missive on current status there(Kuwait, exactly).  Missiles are seen flying in every direction; sirens squeal at all hours; rumors fly with equal rapidity, temps rise quickly as the sun rises in the east.

Another sad chapter of Middle East history adds weight to the narrative story of conflict after conflict that followed the breakupp of empires and colonies that suppressed the local cultures for centuries. Religious leaders joined the fray and superimposed their beliefs as if to make modifications that would  afford some cpontrol over the population that couldn't be accomplished by politicians and dictators.  And now, Israel is leading the charge to ensure its own survival in the face of Iranian nuclear development plans.

Our minister says things are tense, putting it mildly. After 48 hours of sharp exchanges of armed missiles, the world awaits the next round. The troops on the ground are keeping their collective heads down, body armor cinched up, and personal arms loaded. Temperatures are expected to reach 115 degrees today.

Keep water handy.
