Chinese Deal :Trade Talks Suffer

      How are things going with US/China Trade talks?  As expected:  Chinese prove themselves Chinese: we've changed our minds about what we agreed to last week.  Let's start over.   Hmmmm.  No doubt Beijing like to talk without much action or any improvement in the situation.  Ho-hum.  Nothing new here.  This is the tiresome policy of the Middle Kingdom and they cannot break with history: too scary to deviate from the past.   Mr.  Xi does not want to shake up his Communist support base.  Heaven forbid.   It's an old Chinese axiom: when in doubt, invoke Heaven.   They even have a Temple of Heaven in Beijing: nice looking building-well designed, well situated, and praised by visitors as suitably Chinese.
