Russian President Putin is meeting with BRICS countries in an attempt to form a banking union less dependent on the World Bank and the IMF. This is a challenging move and may serve notice that Russia is trying to force the West to look differently on the BRICS.
Time will tell as the world economy attempts to throw off its lethargy and start expanding again.
