Unconfirmed report of a small fire @Pisano's Pizza in Homewood on Hiway 89. Report stated serious damage to the structure and contents. No reported injuries to occupants or Firemen @ scene. Pisano's had closed for the season and no plans were known by this office of future plans to continue operations. FD is said to be investigating the cause. This is a blow to the landscape in Homewood, where business(es) have struggled through the recession, hoping for any signs of an improved economy. Despite a comeback for the stockmarket, job creation has continued to stagnate and companies are still laying off workers, and hiring new employees does not seem to be on anyone's agenda, especially El Dorado County. Pray for an early winter w/ good powder!!!
